1 Master of Advanced Studies in Music Performance and Interpretation The MAS in Music Performance and Interpretation is designed for students who already have a degree in musical studies and are interested in an in-depth study of their specialized repertory: broadening their expertise by acquiring appropriate tools for musical analysis and useful knowledge for the practice of their specialized repertory. It is also possible to work toward a MAS in Chamber Music. The MAS program lasts 4 semesters (two academic years) during which the student acquires a total of 60 ECTS credits. Admission requirements: Possession of a degree in musical studies (Bachelor, Master or equivalent) Successful audition, the program of which is composed of 30 minutes of the more standard pieces of repertory specific to the instrument. Successful completion of an aptitude test. Content: The course focuses on repertory (also chamber repertory) demanding particular technical expertise and a high level of interpretative ability. There are 17 instrument lessons spread out during the academic year. Each lesson lasts 60 minutes. Final examination At the end of the program, the participants hold a Master of Advanced Studies title. The conditions for the completion of the course are the following: The student must have followed the entirety of the program and accumulated at least 60 ECTS credits; The student must have taken part in practical/applied activities in the professional music world, under the supervision of the referent professor (tutoring). The student must have a work of experimental type focused on his/her specific repertory that joins both theory and musical execution (thesis/presentation/performance). During the presentation, the student is able to defend his/her interpretative choices, in accordance with the historical and stylistic proprieties of the pieces chosen for the exam. The student must have successfully passed the final exam: a 60-minute instrumental or chamber recital. The program consists of repertory studied in lessons and an imposed piece given to the candidate 2 months before the final exam and prepared without the professor.

It is the responsibility of the student, at the conclusion of each seminar, to ask for the signature of the professor. Registration Admission requests must be in by august 31st. Exceptionally, it can be possible to start a MAS program at the beginning of the 2nd semester. Admissions are granted according to the number of available places.
