Curriculum Development (2009) Worked on the development of the computer science curriculum, collected curriculum information on computer science from other universities, collaborated with other faculty members, and developed a strong CS minor for math and biology students. Also reviewed the CIS concentrations on Information assurance, ERP, and project management, and spent significant amount of time collecting curriculum information on these fields to provide constructive suggestions for these concentrations. Information Technology Center Development Participated in the development of IT Center at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, collaborated with other faculty members in preparing documents for the certification of National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security, and worked on the development of computer science program. Advisory Committee for College of Information Technology Texas A&M University-San Antonio -- attended all the meetings, collected curriculum information on information technology from the major Universities in the United States, and contributed to the preparation activities for the proposed college. Member of TAMUK System Center-San Antonio College of Business AACSB Accreditation Committee ( ) -- attended all the meetings, contributed to the development of CoB faculty excellence criteria, and contributed to the discussion of AACSB Accreditation for CoB. 5 Computer Information Systems (CIS) Lecturer Faculty Selection Committee (2006) -- reviewed all the applications and attended all the meetings and the interviews, and verified the credentials of applicants. CIS 2+2 degree plans (2004-present) -- reviewed all the CIS 2+2 degree plans with the Alamo Community Colleges, suggested the appropriate changes, and met with the chairs of CIS at the Alamo Community Colleges to discuss the 2+2 plans. Recruitment and retention activities (2004-present) -- participated in all the assigned "Meet and Greet' activities at the Alamo Community Colleges and other recruitment and registration activities at the colleges. CIS student advisor (2004-present) -- advised CIS students at university registration days and student advising meetings. Member of TAMUK College of Business Administration Scholarly Activity Review Committee (2006) -- Participated in the meetings, collected suggestions from the faculty members, and proposed new scholarly activity review criteria.
