Provide advice and guidance to executive leadership on a wide range and variety of complex issues and serve as a key member of the overall institutional leadership team. Provide counsel to the Research Director on sponsored programs administration and programmatic matters including research funding and proposal development strategies.

2 Manage the development and administration of Institute policies, procedures, and processes for sponsored programs administration. Implementation of pre-award proposal administration system (InfoEd) related to system-tosystem (S2S) proposal submission solution for federal grant applications. Founding Member, Executive Leadership Team (ELT) for AAHRPP accreditation (initial accreditation) Associate Director, Office of Grants and Contracts Responsible for the daily operations of a centralized pre and post-award sponsored programs office including all aspects of extramural funding operations inclusive of personnel management, electronic research administration (era) development, policy development and implementation, programmatic compliance and post-award enterprise software system. Directly supervise three exempt and one non-exempt employees including responsibility for hiring, development and training, mentoring and evaluation. WESTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY, Kalamazoo, Michigan Manager, Office of Grants and Contracts Responsible for administering all external research funding awarded to the institution through the expendable restricted fund, ensuring compliance with sponsor imposed regulations, terms, conditions, and university policies and procedures.
