The system detects in advance slowly developing machine failures like: bearings or gears damage, imbalance and misalignment. Early warning against failures makes it possible to replace faulty elements before they cause further, greater damage to the machine. Additionally, the data gathered by the system allows to extend machine life cycle, by optimization of its work parameters and the maintenance planning. 2 Najważniejsze korzyści: Diagram of VIBex: VIBex system consists of two major parts: data acquisition & processing system and the user interface. Data acquisition is performed by special modules, while data processing and storage is done on a dedicated VIBex server. A stand-alone system browser, which is the system's user interface runs on a standard personal computer with Microsoft Windows, and allows for remote access to the server through available internet connection. Najważniejsze korzyści: The system acquires data from vibration sensors like accelerometers and eddy current sensors, as well as from operational parameters sensors like power, rotational speed, temperatures, etc. Based on collected information, the system automatically tunes all algorithms required for monitoring. Applied algorithms range from basic ones, evaluating general technical condition, to advanced ones, like harmonics' monitoring. Rolling bearings are monitored on the basis of signal's envelope, which can detect symptoms of their wear much earlier than standard wideband analysis. 2
