2 Version Content New Functionality: - Web Portal Improvements: o Addition of Terms and Conditions options to Add User page o Addition of linked drop-down fields to Add User page o When searching for Managers or Assistants in the Add and Amend User pages, role information is now displayed to aid selection of the correct employee o Mouse tool-tip feature in Pending Transactions pages made more useful - Fixed issue that was displaying incorrect number of failed transactions New Functionality: - Addition of secondary ID check. Primary link between Directory Manager and Active Directory remains (EmployeeID) but option added to check a second unique id. When configured, if a record is assessed as new, a check will be made to see if the second unique ID exists. If so, the primary ID is updated and the transaction re-assessed. Added to overcome scenarios where the primary unique ID can change. - Option to have date picker fields in the web portal Add and Amend User pages - Overhaul of the automated processing engine. Ensured that any transactions matching a rule or ruleset that do not require approval are processed. Audit record also added per transaction indicating automated processing. - The check for leavers process now checks date value only, removing the check on the time value that occasionally caused leavers to be listed repeatedly - Ensured that Exchange load balancing can be achieved by not supplying a mailstore value in the Exchange configuration/rules - Ensured that when logging off the web portal all open details pages are also logged off - Improved the group management reporting to ensure that failed groups are named and that the overall success is Fail. - Fixed an issue that occurred when trying to freeze transactions without a department value - Fixed an issue where a transaction could be approved twice - Amend Search now finds users if a downsynch is in progress - Profile folders now created if they are the only folder type being created - Fixed the issue introduced in v2.6.0 were an error would be logged if a transaction is assessed as type 16 - Added better SQL locking within the web portal - Fixed issue where SQL databases tables were not being managed correctly (tblinterim, tblinputmatch) - Updated BDS branding in web portal New Functionality: Page 2 of 8
3 - Rename now a separate Transaction Type. Rename transactions now have their own rules, configuration and improved reporting - The "Approval All", "Approval All Pages" and "Suspend All" buttons can now be hidden - When using other formatted values in the Display Name, the Display Name is updated when the value changes - Missing Audit results in the web portal corrected - Issue with "Approval All" option approving renames as well as Changes resolved - Failed Rename transactions listed under failed Change corrected - The Amend Page now displays all details for an existing user - The "MinDaysFutureDate" option in the web.config now works as expected New Functionality: - Review of SQL Server and Host server configuration and suggested configuration documented. - Now possible to use space characters within name values (Surname, Display Name, Logon names) - Resolution of department value not being saved to database when using the Add User feature in v XML data no longer saved for Existing data types New Functionality: - Ordering of account processing changed, New and Changes processed before Existing - Pick-lists in the web portal are now derived from SQL views - When selecting Managers and Assistants in the web portal Add User page, the EmployeeID value can now be optionally hidden Changes where the Active Directory field is blank were not being detected - When selecting Managers and Assistants in the web portal Add User page, users without an EmployeeID value are no longer listed - Occasional issue when setting password on new user account - Repeated alerts sent to managers with an apostrophe in their surname New Functionality: - Ability to approve all transactions in the web portal (not just by page) - Ability to export web reports directly from the index page - Minor improvements to the EPS configuration and rules engine - Minor improvements in the Configuration Client - Web Portal fixes to ensure all mandatory fields are highlighted - Removal of the redundant Crystal Reports tab in the Configuration Client Page 3 of 8
4 2.4.0 New Functionality: - Web Portal Improvements o Overhauled and improved the Add and Amend pages o Moved reporting to web portal so reports can be viewed/exported as required o Improvement in the end user data captured from the Add and Amend pages - Configuration Client updates o Process Results searchable by name o Process Results now scrollable and copy-able o Able to send reports through the client o Changes to watchers and notifications are auto-saved o Redundant "Export Functionality" removed - Logging of "Existing" transaction updates improved - New field added to provide far better control of NHSmail submission content - Logging of sent alerts and notifications improved - Removed limitation where previous transactions would prevent further updates from processing - Recent files list now managed to remove historic entries - Suspended records no longer included in assessment - Irrelevant fields can now be removed from changes and audit view - Processing of manager field improved to avoid problem scenarios with managers that do not exist - Fixed scenario where "Existing" transaction updates were removing Amend records - Web portal SQL queries improved New Functionality: - Logging added to aid resolution of reported problems - Identical logon names now guaranteed when creating both logon values - Issues with the process of suspending, freezing and un-freezing records - WhenModified data presented correctly - Time no longer taken into consideration when identifying leavers New Functionality: - Minor Web Portal additions o Requestor "Domain" information recorded in Add User page o Select All option added to Pending Transaction pages o Transaction approver now displayed in Audit pages - Investigation into reported service crashes effecting some users - Verification that Directory Manager continues to use a mailbox database when moved in an Exchange Distributed Availability Group - Issue with invalid manager data causing user update not to complete Page 4 of 8
5 2.3.1 New Functionality: - Ability to prevent fields being updated for New transactions (previously only existed for Change transactions) - Ability to configure fields displayed on web portal Directory Search User page - Can now use the <Enter> key on web portal search pages to trigger a search - Amended Directory Search to not include records that no longer exist - Issue with text wrapping on web portal Directory Search User page - Issues experienced when adding apostrophes in the web portal User Update page - Issue with setting manager field when the New user account exists in a different domain to the manager New Functionality: - Refresh of the web portal Transaction Management pages, including: o exposure of Rename transactions o direct links to specific Department/Transaction Type pages o exposure of Transaction Type totals o addition of Suspended Search page o other minor improvements - Improvements to the web portal Add User page, including: o exposure of mandatory fields o better use of department, personal title and fields o Separation of Add User and Amend User configuration allowing different configurations o Addition of memo field - Support for ESR GOI2 files - Further indexes added to SQL tables to improve performance - Management of Leavers overhauled, far better detection of leavers and control of the leaver approval process - Suspended records that are approved no longer get "stuck" - Existing transactions are now processed immediately - Processing of apostrophes in names no longer causes problems - Timeout errors experienced when using web portal - Authentication issues when using Update Own Details page - Network traffic utilisation by Data Input Service vastly reduced New Functionality: - Ability to encrypt unique ID value used by Directory Manager Use of ampersands in web portal - Issue with freezing records resolved - On Add User page, limited manager list to current context Page 5 of 8
