3 Ms. Betsy Culpepper Betsy Director of Communications Orlando Regional Healthcare 1414 Kuhl Avenue, MP-56 Orlando, FL Phone: Fax: Welcome to Leadership Orlando! I look forward to leading Class 66 as we embark on our nine-month Leadership Orlando journey. Over the course of this program, we will experience a new curriculum featuring professional facilitation, case studies, panel discussions and simulations. It s my intention as your Class Chair to make this experience truly memorable and serve as a stepping-stone to your leadership future. Our Orientation Sessions are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, March 30 and 31. We will assemble for the first time on Wednesday, March 30 at 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Harry P. Leu Gardens. You are all invited to a Reception hosted by the Leadership Alumni Board immediately following our session from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Our class will reassemble on Thursday, March 31 at 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Camp Wewa Outdoor Center. The second day is to be a fun and interactive team-building day on the ropes course. Dress in comfortable attire (wear something you won t mind getting dirty) for this session. Unless otherwise stated, dress for our other sessions is business casual. This will be defined further at Orientation. One of the goals for the Orientation Session is to get you thinking about the Central Florida community and how it functions. What components make up the community? What current issues are we facing? Who are the leaders you admire, and why? What role do community leaders play in the region s future? Finally, what is the difference between a good citizen and a community leader? Another goal of these two days is for you to begin building relationships with your fellow classmates. To help you in this effort, each member of the class will have an opportunity to personally introduce themselves to the class electronically with distribution help from the Leadership Orlando staff. These electronic greetings will come to you via so that you can review them at your leisure. A schedule will be provided at Orientation so that you will know when your e-introduction is due. This will be an opportunity for many business leaders from diverse backgrounds and industries to learn more about our Central Florida community, its leaders and how each of us can make a positive difference in our community. We will come together to connect with other Central Florida leaders, meet new friends, and of course, have some fun! If you have any questions regarding your Leadership Orlando experience, please do not hesitate to contact Rebecca Cone, Leadership Orlando Program Director, at [email protected] or We look forward to meeting you on March 30! Sincerely, Betsy Culpepper Director of Communications Orlando Regional Healthcare Leadership Orlando Class 66 Chair
