3 1.0 LOGIN INTO CRT Figure 1 1. Double click on Autolog (in Figure 1) which is on the desktop of the CRT PC. Figure 2 2. Upon clicking on the Autolog icon on desktop, Figure 2 will be shown. 3. 5 2.0 REGISTRATION OF NEW CASE AND START RECORDING Figure 4 1. Click on New Case that shown in Figure 4 ECOURT-CRT-01 Release No. : 1.2 Page 5 of 34

6 Figure 5 2. Upon clicking on the New Case, the screen as in Figure 5 will be shown. 3. Key in the case number NOTE: - For FULL TRAIL, the case number have to key in the full case number with format CaseCode-RunningNumber-MM-YYYY. Eg: A For REMAND, the cae number column have to put in the remand dates with format DD-MM-YYYY. Eg: Upon clicking on Prepare to Start Case, Figure 6 will be shown. 10 3.0 SEARCH PREVIOUS RECORDING This functionality allow user to continue recording under the same case. Case already register into system do not need to register for second time. Figure 9 1. Click Find Case to search previous record. ECOURT-CRT-01 Release No. : 1.2 Page 10 of 34

13 4.0 EVENT LOG DURING RECORDING This section will discuss on the event log that can be done on the recording. The purpose of the event log is to ease on transcribing the case. There are 3 category of event log available in the CRT System: 1) Proceeding 2) Witness 3) Exhibits Proceeding Figure Click Proceedings on the left panel, to fill in the event log in Proceeding. 2. In the Proceeding, column there are different template available. 3. Select the template from the drop list. ECOURT-CRT-01 Release No. : 1.2 Page 13 of 34

17 Figure Upon clicking on Create New button, the screen in Figure 17 will be shown. 5. Fill in the particular of the witness. NOTE: First Name and Last Name is compulsory field. 6. Click on OK (Figure 17) to save all the particular into the system. 7. 18 Figure During the recording, whenever need to add in event log for witness double click on the respective witness and the screen Figure 18 (ii) will be shown. 9. Double click the event in the Figure 18 (ii) then the event will insert into the timeline of the recording in Figure 18 (iii). 19 Exhibits Figure Click on the Exhibits tab. 2. Click on add icon as shown in Figure 19. Figure The Exhibit Info screen will be shown as in Figure Name / Label the Exihibits by key in into the Names Text box. 5. Key in Description for the Exhibits. ECOURT-CRT-01 Release No. : 1.2 Page 19 of 34

21 Add Case Note Figure Click on Add Case Note button in the menu bar. Figure Case Log Event will be shown as in Figure Select either Public Event or Private Event 4. Key in the note. 5. Select either Public Note or Private Note. NOTE: - During publishing of the video into CD, there are choice on either publish with Private or Public Note/ Event. - This functionality is in place for to allow user to put in note which does not publish for the public/ lawyer. 22 5.0 PUBLISH CASE Figure Follow guide in Section 3.0 to Search a recording. 2. When screen in Figure 24 shown, click on Publish Case ECOURT-CRT-01 Release No. : 1.2 Page 22 of 34

23 Figure Upon clicking on Publish Case, JAVS Publishing Wizard will be shown as in Figure Click Next> to proceed to publish case. Figure Make sure the case number is correct, then select on the specific date to publish. 6. Click on Next> button to publish case ECOURT-CRT-01 Release No. : 1.2 Page 23 of 34

24 Figure Upon clicking on the Next button, screen on Figure 27 will be shown. 8. Select either publish the case with public information only or include public and private information. 9. 25 Figure Upon clicking on Next> button, screen in Figure 28 will be shown. 12. Select the source to store the published case. 13. Click Next> to proceed to publish the case. NOTE: - All the storage media (CD, DVD) need to be not used. - DVD can store 6 Days (48 hours) recording. - CD can store 1 Day (8 Hours) recording. Figure Upon clicking on the Next> in Figure 28, Figure 29 will be shown. 15. Select the DVD/CD Burner which already attached to the PC and click Next> to start pulish the recording into the Cd/ DVD. 27 6.0 CASE VIEWER This section will discuss on how a recording can be play back and review. Figure Search a case following guide in Section When screen as Figuer 30 shown, select the case number in the Case Number column and click on view Case. ECOURT-CRT-01 Release No. : 1.2 Page 27 of 34

28 Figure CaseViwer Application will be start as shown in Figure The recording can be playback (Play/Pause/ Fast forward/rewind) using mouse or foot pedal provided. Figure The Event log that has been done during the recording will be shown on the left panel of screen. 6. Click on the blue link in the table on the left panel to view on the part of recording. 7. 29 7.0 CASE SCHEDULER This section will discuss on how a planner can be inserted into the case Scheduler. This functionality will ease user on getting prepare all the case register and listed in the Case Scheduler before the day of mention. 32 Figure Select the Date time for Start Time and Stop Time. 8. Select No Auto Start and No Auto Stop to avoid the recording start without the case ready for mention. 9. Click on OK to save the schedule into Case Scheduler. Figure Case which already schedule will be display in the planner as shown in Figure The green tick by the side of the case number showing that the case already being recorded. 33 12. Click on Autolog on the left panel to switch back to Autolog view. Figure On Autolog screen, click on Scheduled Today on the left panel to view on the case which already scheduled today. 14. Double click on the case number to either Start Case (Start Recording) or Prepare to Start Case (Recording on standby mode) for the recording of the particular case. 35 Videolink Operation Procedures: Activate Videolink System 1. Power-on TV and cameras in witness room. 2. Power-on TV in open court. 3. Launch Autolog application. 4. Click on System Modes tab in Autolog. 5. Click on VlinkS1C2 mode. 6. Press S1-2 or S1-3 Identification Process 1. Click on System Modes tab in Autolog. 2. Click on IdentifyS2 mode. 3. Press S2-1 to identify OKT or S2-2 to identify witness. Remote Camera Lock 1. Click on System Modes tab in Autolog. 2. Click on RCamLockS1 mode. 3. Press S1-2 to view witness or S1-3 to view witness s room. Normal CRT 1. Click on System Modes tab in Autolog. 2. Click on ether Normal or NormalS1C1 mode. 3. Press S1-1 and S2-1.
