In my Master s degree, I was given the opportunity to acquaint myself with technology support of E-Learning, acquire a deep interest in the field and complete a thesis on E-Learning Strategies in Cyprus Higher Education. My research interests further include collaborative work in virtual communities, and personalisation and user adaptive systems, supporting online and learning communities and large social networks. Through the BRAIN project I also became interested in modelling and supporting community collaboration for the creation of innovation in industry and academia. Furthermore, I would be interested to investigate the possibilities for how semantic web and Web 2.0 technologies can be exploited to support social systems and virtual communities especially in the processes of knowledge sharing and collaborative learning.
