5 To Teach in a Catholic School Current Accreditation Framework for Catholic Schools (August 200) Teachers new to the Catholic system employed on or after 1 January 2005 will be required to commence Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School and have this accreditation completed within five years of appointment. Completion of three approved tertiary units (in the fields of Religious Education, theology or scripture) or their equivalent (e.g., six Content of Religious Education courses) within five years of appointment.
