1 Welcome to the family! Did you know that every 12 months, U.S. consumers are retiring an estimated 130 million cell phones, and only 10 percent are being recycled? There are tons of phones in drawers across America, waiting to be collected and turned into calling card cash. has partnered with ReCellular as our exclusive recycling company. Founded in 1991, ReCellular is dedicated to supporting charities and protecting the environment. Please take a moment to review the following materials to help make your cell phone collection a success. Promote and expand your collection program Send out flyers, s, letters, newsletters, and posters to promote your collection. We ve included a toolkit for your use. Other resources are available at Add information to your website. Include information in your advertising materials. Set up contests and provide incentives to see who can collect the most phones. Write to your local paper and submit a press announcement. Templates are included to help get you started. You now have the ability to print your own prepaid shipping labels. Please go to the website at: To ship 4 or more phones, please use the FedEx Ground Shipping labels. Please follow these directions on how to obtain shipping labels. Once you have obtained the proper amount of labels, follow the packing and shipping instructions below to avoid damage to the phones during shipping. Obtaining FedEx Shipping Labels: Please note that for every shipment of phones that you send, you must request new labels. Select your STATE, CITY and ORGANIZATION from the drop down menus located below the FedEx Ground Logo. Once you have filled out the drop down menus, continue filling out the required fields below. Please note that these fields are character and symbol sensitive; please refrain from using punctuation symbols. If you have entered everything correctly, the requested labels will be instantly sent to the address you have provided. If you filled out something incorrectly, you will receive an error message and the labels will not be sent. Often times an error message is generated and a label cannot be sent due to a few factors. The first is from using additional characters or symbols in the phone number or fax fields, when filling in these fields do not use parentheses () or dashes -. For example, instead of writing (808) , simply write Error messages are also sometimes generated by using a dash in the "total phones" field. In this case, it is usually best to provide an approximation of the number of phones being sent. For example, if you are mailing between phones omit the dash, and simply write 28 phones. When filling out the request form for a FedEx shipping label, always double check to make sure all details are entered correctly. Many times, we receive error messages due to the fact that addresses are misspelled (like hotmial or g.mail, these errors obviously don t process). Before you pack your phones: Ensure that you have all of the materials you will need to prepare your shipments. * Prepaid Shipping labels * Lithium Ion Battery Warning labels (for the inside and outside of your packages) * Boxes, tape, and a marker. Please use reasonable sized boxes to avoid heavy and cumbersome handling. We suggest office paper boxes or similar sized boxes. Count the number of cell phone handsets and keep for your records. This will also be helpful when requesting labels.
