3 Dr.ABE_Blank Nesting Algorithms Dr.ABE_Blank uses the latest Nesting algorithms, which strategically apply Common Cutting, Multiple Nesting (True Shape and Rectangular), Skeleton and Multiple Parts in Parts. Common Cutting Increase efficiency and reduce production time using Common Cutting. Wire Joints can be set on the Common Cutting between parts. Mutiple Parts in Parts Dr.ABE_Blank makes multiple parts in parts, increasing nesting efficiency. Part Nesting Processing mistakes are avoided, ensuring that small parts are nested in the scrap of large parts. Common Cutting Parts may also be nested with other parts. Remnant /Skeleton Nesting Skeletons and remnants generated during nesting may automatically be saved. Skeleton and remnant sheets may be used for nesting new parts. 4 Laser Parameter Assignment Dr.ABE_Blank ensures high productivity laser cutting using the latest sequencing algorithms. Micro-joint locations may be modified (using Pin Table Verification) based on part placement and Lead-in and Lead-out Optimization. Laser Path Optimization Laser head traverse sequencing is reduced automatically or by manually configuring the system, improving machine run time. Lead-in and Lead-out Settings Pre-pierce your entire sheet. Control Lead-in methods to help eliminate secondary operations. Pre-define customized lead-in methods. Set size ranges when different lead-in and lead-out types are applied. Auto Cut-out Avoidance Dr.ABE_Blank automatically avoids holes that are already cut and uses the shortest path to traverse the nested sheet. The Optimal Path will be found, reducing machine run time using Shutterless mode. Micro / Wire Joints with Pin Table Dr.ABE_Blank changes micro-joint positions based on the part nesting direction even if it is the same part. The Pin Table illustration lets the user determine the best placement for wire and micro-joints. Hole Destruction Types Holes or Cut-outs that do not need to be tabbed will be processed using the Hole Destruction method. Cut-outs that do not need tabbing may be dropped through the work chute automatically. Cutting and NC Data Condition Cutting conditions can be automatically applied based on pattern shape, size and material thickness, allowing you to tailor Dr.ABE_Blank to your company s requirements. 5 Punch Parameter Assignment Dr.ABE_Blank Punch uses the latest parameter logic to automatically assign tooling for complicated shapes or special holes and generates schedule nests resulting in excellent material utilization. Punch Tool Parameter Assignment Tool Group and Priority Settings Set Patterns and Special Shapes Common Punching and Micro-joints Line types, Tool Overlap Distance, Notch and Slit Parameter settings. Micro-joints by special tools can be done both manually and automatically. Contouring, Slit, V notch and Deburring tools may be assigned both automatically and manually. Turret layouts are quickly and easily configured using drag-and-drop functions. Tools may be prioritized for better punch sequencing. All form-down or form-up tooling may be contained in a single group. Tool sequencing is optimized by automatically reducing the turret rotation. Specific tooling patterns may be assigned to each shape. Assign tooling to special shapes with Dr.ABE_Blank Punch automatically. Increase material utilization by common punching parts to increase efficiency and reduce production time. Micro-joints are assigned to all common punch parts. Combination/Punch Machine Parameter Assignment Production requirements for complicated, shaped products are met using the Dr.ABE_Blank Punch & Laser Combination. The software allows nesting schedules to be created automatically and this results in reduced production costs. Pattern Settings Special Tool/ Forming combined with Cutting Sheet Utilization and Part Edge Quality Additional Edit Functions Details for Outer Shape, Notch, Standard Holes, and Forming Up or Down may be set using the Combination preference frame. Combo process will select interior tool assignment. (punch and laser) Tools for Special Shapes. Inside Cutouts & Outer Boundaries will automatically be lasered when Punch Tools are not available. Full Sequence Control of Punching, Inner Cutting and Boundary Cutting. Pre-Punch sequence process is fully controlled with standard tool sequencing. Simulate every NC code generated after a nest to confirm machine sequence and also edit the NC code. Ability to add new parts in the Edit Mode. Modify and Change Material or Sheet size.

6 TK and PR-III Automation Dr.ABE_Blank Punch and Combination supports the Amada PR-III and part Take-out (TK) automation system. Auto Part Handling Parts punched or laser cut will be picked up from the machine using the PR-III or TK automated system. Parts without joints will be automatically assigned a last cut for the PR-III or TK to take out. Multiple part pick-up using the automatic TK Part-kit feature. Stack Table Use the Set End Value option to set Last Hit or Cut on the outer parameter of part to take out. Take out parts may be stacked on different table origins. The system will automatically place TK arms and vacuum pads. The TK arm may be edited manually. Production Plan Dr.ABE_Blank retrieves the production plan from your management software system (MRP/ERP) using CSV file import. It s quick and easy to build the nesting schedules using the part data from this system. Production Planning Software File of Production Plan (CSV) Dr. ABE_Blank Product Plan Screen Product plan data (Part name, Quantity, Part Comment, Unfold Size, etc.) may be obtained via CSV file import from your production planning system. This will drastically reduce programming time.
