9 Building Regulations South Australia New homes, alterations and additions in SA for all class 1a and b buildings with building approval after 1st July 2008 are required to install: Solar and heat pump water heaters the requirements are specified as the minimum number of Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) a system is eligible for. Gas water heaters are required to achieve a minimum of a 5 star rating from 1st May Conventional electric water heaters can NO LONGER be installed in new class 1 buildings. 10 DuxConnect Professional Installation Option DuxConnect is a professional installation service available for all Dux water heaters. To take advantage of the DuxConnect service you will need to complete the following steps; 1. Contact your Bunnings Trade Rep or DuxConnect (1300 DUX NOW) to discuss installation requirements and pricing. 2. Obtain a set of plans showing planned solar collector and tank locations. 3. Send set of plans along with a Bunnings purchase order for the supply and install to DuxConnect [email protected]. 4. The builder will call 1300 DUX NOW to organise solar collector installation giving 5 working days notice. The solar collectors are mounted after roof completion, prior to safety rails and scaffolding being removed.
