3 Heat Pump and Gas Furnace - $75 per Person This training reviews the basic components and functions of both Heat Pumps and gas furnaces and includes basic diagnostics. The training will also provide a detailed understanding of single compressor two stages system, dual compressor dual stage systems, defrost cycles, expansion devices (Electronic and Mechanical) Single stage gas furnace, two stage gas furnace and modulating gas furnace operation and diagnostics. 4 Fundamentals of Air Conditioning & System Installation - $75 per Person GETTING THE TRANE ON THE RIGHT TRACK This class was created for installers and new service technicians. It explains recommended installation practices, system set up, and verification of correct performance. The refrigerant cycle, super heat, sub cooling, system charging, component identification, and component function and control installation is included. System air flow is discussed with emphasis on determining what the correct air flow is in a system. Each attendee will receive class materials and a Residential Systems Service Guide Manual. This class will give the installer and the service tech the knowledge to set up and troubleshoot the thermostat as well as the modulating zoning system. This is mandatory for Trane dealers. This class explains the functions, installation, and diagnostics of items that are exclusive to our product lines. There is a review of refrigerant circuits, control circuits, and application issues. Air flow is discussed which includes the determination of correct air flow, air flow measurement, and identification and diagnostics of air flow issues. Electronic expansion valves, standard TXVs and variable speed motor diagnostics are explained. This class will help technicians trouble shoot all of the systems encountered in the field. Experienced technicians will find this to be a good refresher course.
