It will improve and expand wireless Internet service provided by SandyNet, a municipal Internet service provider operated by the city of Sandy. The project will add new antenna towers upgrade equipment to

To enhance an existing broadband network with stability and capacity that can later be extended to surrounding rural areas. 5 Applicant Lane Council of Governments, Eugene, Ore. Contact Milo Mecham Project title Oregon South Central Regional Fiber Consortium Lighting the Fiber Middle Mile Project Project type Middle Mile Grant request $ 8,375,000 Description The Oregon South Central Rural Fiber Consortium Lighting the Fiber Middle Mile Project will bring broadband at needed speeds over currently dark fiber path from Eugene to Klamath Falls, and from Eugene to Roseburg in Douglas County, to community anchor institutions in unserved and underserved portions of Lane, Douglas, and Klamath counties in Oregon, including Klamath Tribal institutions. 6 Applicant Gervais Telephone Company, Gervais, Ore. Contact John Hoffmann Project title Marion County Broadband Buildout Grant request $ 314,430 $ 314,430 Description The project is to provide affordable Internet connectivity in one unserved and one underserved area in rural Marion County. This will provide broadband connectivity to both residential and business end users, as well as four anchor institutions without access to sufficient bandwidth.

Contact Frank Richter Project title Oregon Broadband Alliance Initiative Project type Middle Mile Grant request $ 1,062,900 Description This grant application will provide equipment to increase the network bandwidth capability from 2 GIG to 22 GIG, with the capability of 80 GIG, and includes three fiber cable construction projects. The equipment and construction will provide the network with redundancy, add 2252 new broadband end users, and connect six new access points. 8 Applicant Clackamas County, OR, Oregon City, Ore. Contact David Cummings Project title Clackamas Broadband Innovation Initiative (CBII) Project type Middle Mile Grant request $ 4,534,960 Description CBII is a mile ring/spur fiber optics network designed to provide low cost point to point middle mile network access to 94 community anchor locations throughout the county while providing backhaul abilities to any private broadband provider desiring to use the network. CBII is a low cost solution to scarcely available fiber optic based high speed broadband availability in the county. 9 Applicant Monroe Telephone Company, Monroe, Ore. Contact John Dillard Project title Monroe Telephone Cheshire & Greenbury Buildout Program BIP Grant request $ 4,673,676 $ 2,003,004 Description Monroe Telephone proposes to extend broadband services to underserved rural areas adjacent to its serving area in Census Tracts 103 & 104, Benton County, Oregon and Census Tracts 4.02 & 4.03, Lane County, Oregon. This project uses the latest fiber to the premise technology to deliver very high speed services over fiber optic cables to families, community organizations & businesses.

Install an open, fixed wireless network to enhance the broadband offering in underserved areas. 11 Applicant Blue Mountain Community College, Pendleton, Ore. Contact Nathan Williams Project title Serving the Disadvantaged Through Public Computer Centers in Rural Northeastern Oregon Grant request $ 2,569,191 Description Blue Mountain Community College will establish public computer centers in five dispersed communities in order to expand access to broadband services across rural northeastern Oregon. The centers will provide disadvantaged populations with unprecedented opportunities for education, job skills training, job searches, and global information and networking. 12 Applicant Blue Mountain Community College, Pendleton, Ore. Contact Nathan Williams Project title Leaping the Digital Divide in Rural Eastern Oregon Project type Sustainable Broadband Adoption Grant request $ 2,634,951 Description Blue Mountain Community College proposes to bridge the Digital Divide for vulnerable populations in nine rural counties in eastern Oregon (21,000 sq. miles). Residents will receive innovative broadband training taught by professional educators and delivered through 42 community anchor institutions equipped with wireless LAN. A locally based train the trainer model will ensure project sustainability.

Contact Allen Seymour Project title Tillamook County Broadband Expansion Project type Last Mile Remote Area Grant request $ 1,750,240 Description The project plans to greatly expand and enhance our current broadband last mile delivery microwave system to the homes and businesses in both the unserved and underserved parts of the county. We will also greatly expand a more inclusive broadband internet delivery system, at much lower subscriber costs, to reach the lower income, unserved and underserved rural Tillamook County, Oregon. 21 Applicant City of Salem, Salem, Ore. Contact Sonja Somerville Project title Salem Center 50+ Computer Learning Lab Upgrade Grant request $ 80,375 Description Center 50+ will address unmet demand for Internet connectivity and access to computer classes, particularly classes related to job seeking.
