We have created this ebook for people who need some help understanding cellular phone boosters. As most people are not even aware that cellular boosters exist, we are going to walk you through everything you need to know before you buy and install a cellular booster. For businesses and consumers a high quality, reliable cellular signal is no longer an option it s the standard. Unfortunately many businesses and consumers continue to suffer from weak cellular signals that are annoying and unproductive. You no longer need to settle for anything less than the best quality cellular signal. Keep reading to learn the 7 Things You Must Know Before You Buy and Install A Cellular Booster!

1. Will A Cellular Booster Really Strengthen My Signal?

The answer is a resounding YES. However it is very important that you realize precisely what a cellular booster has been designed to do. It will amplify very weak signals that would normally be quite erratic but a cellular booster is not a device that can manufacture a signal out of thin air. You must have some type of cellular signal present to start with. Even if a signal is very weak the right cellular booster can make it consistent and clear. You will no longer need to stand on one foot, stay in one spot or even walk outside of your home or business to make calls, receive texts or surf the web. A Cellular Booster works by harnessing a signal using a high gain antenna. The signal will travel down a coaxial cable to feed directly into a cellular signal amplifier. The amplifier will boost the cellular signal and rebroadcast a now strong and clear signal into the area where it is needed. In areas where the signal is consistently weak or even virtually non-existent, a cellular booster can make a dramatic difference. Common building materials like metal, wood and concrete can make it difficult for a signal to travel, but a cellular booster can change that. The location of a cellular base station may also be partially responsible for low signals. If you re more distant from the nearest cellular tower, a booster can save a signal, again transforming it from barely working to fully functional. There is big difference in signal quality and reliability with lower quality cellular boosters being far less effective. The highest quality cellular phone come equipped with state of the art technology so that a highly effective device is the result. Our Boosters are all made from premium components and come standard with carrier grade functions that no other consumer booster products offer.

2. What Are The Most Important Features All Cellular Boosters Must Have?

When you are using a cellular booster you are essentially broadcasting a better cellular signal, utilizing the carriers licensed frequency range. The carriers network has to be respected, which is why it is so important to get a cellular booster that is high functioning and can eliminate interference. When a cellular booster is rebroadcasting a cellular signal it works rather like a microphone and a speaker in a PA system. As you have probably heard before, an unpleasant screeching noise happens whenever the microphone gets to close to the speaker. This feedback is very similar to the feedback you will get when the service antenna and external antenna are too close together. Our line of cellular boosters are designed to eliminate this type of interference. There are 3 important features that any quality cellular booster must have to ensure that you get premium reception. These are the features that really set us apart from our competition AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF: This will prompt the cellular booster to turn off in situations when a signal is overloaded, this will prevent you from ever causing interference. MANUAL GAIN CONTROL: This will allow you to adjust the gain of your cellular booster anytime during installation or maintenance. AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL: This is an important feature because it allows for automatic control of the signal. If your cellular booster starts to reach dangerous levels (this may happen during storms, for example) it will automatically be kept steady and safe. It is also important that you adjust the gain so that you can get the ideal cellular signal. Too much signal is a common issue, so having the gain controlled and properly adjusted is very important so that you can make the most of your signal. Unlike most other cellular boosters, our product line has all these functions as standard features to ensure maximum signal quality, strength and reliability.

3. How Do You Determine the Coverage Area of a Cellular Booster?

The coverage area of a cellular booster depends upon a couple of things, starting with the capacity. To find out about the capacity you need to look at the cellular signal gain (db) and the output power (dbi). You need to get a cellular booster that has output power and signal gain that will properly satisfy your area. For example, if you have a 4000 sq. ft. home that is all on one open level, a single unit will be a great solution. While a 4000 sq. ft. home with multiple levels will generally benefit from additional interior antennas to maximize coverage. The second category refers to the strength of the signal going into the system and the area being covered. The device will amplify the cellular signal that it receives; therefore if the input signal is good it will provide more coverage than if the input signal is weak. The coverage area will also become reduced if there are many obstacles such as walls and floors or other building materials in its way. Don t be fooled by companies that claim they have super high output and gain because every area needs it. Actually you need to get a device with signal power and gain that are the best suited for your area, and it may not need to have sky-high numbers all the time. Just like with a car that can potentially go 160 mph, you wont need to drive it that fast all the time. Cellular boosters like cars will often do best at a moderate power level. The signal gain and output power work in unison to give you the signal strength you need, exactly when you need it.

4. How Do I Make Sure My Cellular Booster is Installed For Optimum Usage?

Your best signal will be achieved when you have the closest proximity to the interior antenna. Generally this antenna is linked to the cellular booster via a coaxial cable, though sometimes you ll be linking the antenna right to the booster. If the booster is connected to the coaxial cable, you can generally put the booster in a closet, on the upper floor of the home, even in the attic. Just make sure the room isn t overly hot or cold and that you won t be getting any moisture near the booster as this can cause damage. If you connect the antenna directly to the booster, make sure that it is in the area where your signal is weakest. INSTALLING THE EXTERIOR ANTENNA: There are several potential spots for the exterior antenna, and where the antenna is placed will depend upon the type of antenna. Antennas are chosen based on signal strength, and there are three choices in order to maximize gain. High Gain Yagi Directional Antenna - This is a directional antenna and is best used by pointing the antenna at the cellular tower where you want to capture the signal. Post Omni Directional Antenna - This is an omni-directional antenna and is best used in areas where you want to capture a signal from multiple cellular towers that are in opposite directions of each other. They are typically well suited for urban environments. Panel Directional Antenna - This is a directional antenna and is best used by pointing the antenna at the cellular tower where you want to capture the signal. DISTANCE BETWEEN EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR ANTENNA: At a minimum there needs to be 25 feet in between the exterior and interior antennas. When the two are closer than about 25 feet, you will run into an oscillation issue (that screeching feedback like a microphone and speaker make when overly close.) When oscillation happens, the cellular network is disrupted and the carrier may even shut it down, so the 25 foot distance is very important. WHAT KIND OF SIGNAL CAN I EXPECT AFTER INSTALLATION? You can expect to get a signal strong enough to make and receive calls, even if you may not have been able to do so previously. You can expect your signal to increase dramatically. The closer you are to the booster, the better you can expect the signal to be. As you move away from the interior antenna, the signal will begin to fade. HOW MANY INTERNAL ANTENNAS DO I NEED (IS AN EXPANSION KIT NEEDED)? This all depends upon how much area you are trying to cover. In many cases a single story home will need just one antenna. If you are working with a multiple-story home or a larger building and you need to get a signal to several distinctly different spots (for example, deep in the basement and a balcony off the second floor) you may need to get an expansion kit with a second antenna. With the help of a splitter, either 2-way or 3-way, several antennas can also be connected to a single booster to provide optimal coverage. Cellular Boosters are very much capable of dramatically reducing the amount of radiation that your cellular phone can subject you to. Cellular phones today are well known for emitting large quantities of electromagnetic radiation -- which can have some pretty serious health consequences! Cellular Boosters help you to avoid a very large portion of this radiation.

5. Can a Cellular Booster reduce cellular phone radiation?

Basically, the job of a cellular booster is shortening the pathway that your cellular signal takes. Rather than your cellular phone having to emit the large amount of radiation needed to send a signal all the way to the cellular tower, the phone is giving that work over to the booster. The cellular booster will do the majority of the task of sending and receiving the signal, so your phone has to deal out very little electromagnetic radiation as compared to what it would need to do if you had no booster in place.

All The Terms I Hear About Can Get Confusing, 6. What Does It All Mean?????

You may have heard terms like frequency, single band, dual band, and more -- and it can indeed get a bit confusing. Keep reading for a glossary of the things you need to know! FREQUENCIES: Basically, a frequency is the section of the airwaves that a company is licensed to utilize. For example, a certain cellular carrier may be licensed to send and receive signals on the 850MHz frequency. The reason that frequency matters is that you need to make sure that your cellular carrier s frequency and your booster s frequency are compatible. In many cases your cellular carrier may be licensed to use more than a single frequency, and typically a high quality brand like ours will be compatible with multiple frequencies -- these are called Dual Band. CELLULAR TECHNOLOGIES: Your cellular phone or device uses a certain type of technology to operate. These might include EDGE, 3G, 4G, GPRS, or GSM. BANDS: A band is a single frequency, and many boosters operate on just one frequency, while others operate on two to three frequencies. It is especially important that you choose a booster of the Multi-Band type so that you will be able to get a mobile signal, no matter which of the many frequencies your carrier is using.

BOTTOM LINE: 7. What Cellular Booster Should I Choose?? 1 2 3

The booster that you choose should be one that can truly do the job of increasing a signal from a pitifully weak and unreliable single bar up into a dependable and strong four or five bars. Always choose a booster that has been verified to be compatible with your cellular devices, or seek out a dual -band unit for the utmost compatibility. When it comes to cellular boosters the merchandise quality and the reputation of the manufacturer are truly vital considerations! For us, a reliable and consistent cellular signal is our number one manufacturing goal. The reason that we have earned a top reputation is threefold: We consistently meet manufacturing goals of the highest quality and the most advanced technology. A cellular booster can be a lifesaver when it comes to getting cellular contact in areas where you d normally be completely isolated. With a quality product, you won t have to wander around, hoping to catch a halfway decent signal, and you won t have to stress yourself out over dropped or missed calls. We hope this report was helpful in explaining the 7 Things You Must Know Before You Buy A Cellular Booster!
