Please read through our application packet thoroughly. If you have any questions regarding the training program or would like more information, please contact us using the contact information above. Our training program is grounded in the fact that healing ourselves and helping others is all one process. To become certified in Integrative Breathwork, an adequate healing of one s past issues is part of the requirement for certification. Because of this, the first step to certification in Integrative Breathwork is to do your own work by attending breathwork workshops as a participant. Additionally, if you are in recovery, it s required that you have at least 1 year of sobriety prior to being accepted into our program. Some people enter our certification program with the intention of facilitating breathwork workshops, and others enter our program to deepen their understanding and experience of breathwork with no intention to ever facilitate. Either way, you are welcome to apply to our training program, and all applications are considered equally regardless of intention. Those interested in our training program have come from diverse backgrounds, such as counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, coaches, reiki practitioners, massage therapists, nurses, chiropractors, clergy, etc. We require that an applicant be a licensed or certified professional working in their field. Exceptions may be made for folks who have an extensive personal history with Integrative Breathwork, though there may be additional requirements of you to become certified. Integrative Breathwork is a powerful healing modality, hence the reason for this requirement.

3 Eupsychia s training program will aid you in shifting from traditional to more emergent forms of healing and transformation. You ll be taught to communicate with your clients in a way that s acknowledging and accepting of diversity in all its forms. You ll be able to guide others through psychic openings and death/rebirth phases of personal transformation, having traveled this psychospiritual journey yourself. In undergoing this training, you will become empowered to explore ways to integrate Breathwork into your current scope of practice. Only folks who have attended at least one 6 day, and 2 weekend Integrative Breathwork workshops with Eupsychia will be considered for the training and certification intern program. Attending a 6 day breathwork workshop as a participant is the best way for you to decide if this is the right path for you. As I ve heard Jacquie say many times, the only way out is through. If you are feeling called to commit more deeply to breathwork you may submit the Integrative Breathwork certification application form as soon as you have met the prerequisites. Along with your application please include a recent photo of yourself, a recommendation from a certified Integrative Breathwork practitioner, and the $50 application fee. 4 CERTIFICATION PROGRAM IN THE EUPSYCHIA PROCESS OF INTEGRATIVE BREATHWORK For those of you interested in our certification program, the following will describe the training requirements and goals of this certification. Included are detailed descriptions of The Eupsychia Process, its philosophy and methods. Please read this carefully to make sure this program feels right for you. TRAINING DETAILS Our training program is experiential and didactic, and occurs mostly at our workshops. Once you have been accepted into our certification program, you will attend workshops as an intern. New interns are guided through their own healing work experientially along with the participants who attend our workshops for healing. As their healing progresses, interns are supervised in guiding others through these transformational processes. This is a one to two year training program. However, interns may choose to participate at their own pace. Financial commitment $50 Application Fee Workshop and Retreat Fees Ten consults with a Certified Integrative Breathwork Practitioner. Five of these consults must be with senior staff or Jacquelyn Small. Jacquelyn and senior staff each charge $100 for a 50 minute consult. Other practitioners may charge a different fee. Travel to and from Workshop Facilities Hotel expenses when attending 1 or 3 day workshops

5 Intern Requirements Attend at least four weekend Eupsychia approved workshops as an intern. (2 of the 4 required workshops must be 3 day workshops). Attend 1 Mystery School weekend. Attend at least two 6 day workshops as an intern. Interns and staff arrive 1-3 days prior to participants arrival. During this time, interns will receive additional training in bodywork, music preparation, technical training, transpersonal psychology, mandala and symbolic artwork, developing a breathwork practice, creating a sacred and safe space, and group facilitation. Jacquelyn Small also provides teaching during this time to interns. Reading requirements followed by group discussion of the following books by Jacquelyn Small: Becoming Naturally Therapeutic, Transformers, Awakening in Time, Embodying Spirit, and The Sacred Purpose of Being Human. Read other books and handouts as required. A written paper or discussion with Karen Breeding explaining one s understanding of psychospiritual inner work from studying Jacquelyn Small s books Utilizing mentoring with Karen Breeding and Eupsychia staff by telephone or as needed, as well as with Jacquelyn Small at Eupsychia Institute events where she is speaking. Conduct one practice breathwork session with friends or interested participants. Prepare one breathwork music set for Karen s approval and feedback. Ten 50 minute individual consultations with a certified breathwork practitioner. Five of these consultations are with a member of senior staff or Jacquelyn Small, and may be conducted face to face, by telephone, facetime or skype. These consultations will provide guidance, feedback, emotional processing, and training to assist an intern in their process. Demonstrate competency in the training components. Specific individual requirements may apply as this certification program is individualized, and our students come from a wide variety of professional backgrounds.

6 Once these requirements are met, Karen and the senior staff will invite you to graduate, and receive your Integrative Breathwork certification. Each graduation ceremony occurs on the final day of a 6-day program you attend. PHILOSOPHY UNDERPINNING THE EUPSYCHIA PROCESS BY JACQUELYN SMALL Eupsychia is a new paradigm psychospiritual educational institute founded by Jacquelyn Small in The concept "Eupsychia" was coined in 1962 by Abraham Maslow, the father of self-actualization theory and one of the founders of transpersonal psychology. The word eupsychia means happy psyche or psyche's well being. Eupsychia's philosophy and methods are based in transpersonal or spiritual psychology that defines the Self as a spiritual being living in human form, as both a human ego and a spiritual soul. Eupsychia's philosophy is based in a synthesis of various schools of psychology, aspects of the ancient wisdom found in the perennial philosophy of the Western Mystery Traditions, and Jungian psychology. It tracks perfectly with the 12 Step philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous, and is compatible with the newer sciences of quantum/relativistic physics, systems biology, holographic brain research, and integrative medicine. We honor both Eastern and Western thought. We also honor anyone's chosen religion or school of psychology or healing. We've found that an open-minded search for truth is essential to significant Self-knowledge. The language of the Eupsychia Process can be modified to fit with any form of psychological or spiritual orientation. There is no forbidden knowledge in the pursuit of authentic Self-awakening, unless it leads to harm to individuals or to the group process. Because Eupsychia defines the Self as both a human personality and a spiritual soul, its experiential methods provide both mental/emotional healing of the psyche and spiritual awakening to one's true and whole identity. Our methods of application are exceptionally transformational as they clear our ego's needs and actually shift the psyche to whole new ways of being.

7 We do not define our issues and personal suffering with disease labels, but rather, as the natural pangs of birthing a new and higher consciousness. Not only does the human psyche hold painful repressed personal and ancestral memories, it also contains our soul's consciousness -- inspirations and revelations that awaken and reveal our larger life. Many who experience our methods have spiritual or religious experiences that give them a strong sense of having a larger purpose in life than mere ego gratification. Direct contact with the God-within, true Self-empowerment, and finding one's life's work are natural outcomes of this model. In this sense, The Eupsychia Process is an evolutionary psychology. There are 12 principles of The Eupsychia Process gleaned from our long years of actual hands-on experience in guiding hundreds through their healing and transformation. These wholistic principles enable a person to stay fully identified as both a human personality and a soul. These 12 principles are spelled out in Jacquelyn's book, The Sacred Purpose of Being Human. Every principle will be studied and embodied through the practices offered. This training model teaches its practitioners to work with the subjective life in non-ordinary states of consciousness and how to incorporate the integrating insights this inner work brings into one's life. To be a leader of this work, we must become it. Since our methods take participants into non-ordinary states of consciousness, students learn to create sacred space in order to therapeutically enhance releasing energies from the unconscious mind. We help our clients find the wisdom and talents within themselves, rather than focusing on others as "the expert" on their lives. Eupsychia teaches that there are no outside experts on a path of authentic Self-knowledge; the Self is the teacher! This training helps you learn to recognize, emphasize, and empower the true Self who lives at the core of our being.

8 TEACHING MODULES INCLUDED IN THE EUPSYCHIA TRAINING PROCESS Our most powerful and effective psychic opener and healer is the Integrative Breathwork, surrounded by psychospiritual group work and other processes that help integrate one's powerful inner work. The Integrative Breathwork process expands us beyond the ego's physical, emotional, and mental states into the wider realms of all seven levels of consciousness known as the human chakra system. This entire world of the human/divine psyche is explained in depth in Jacquelyn's book, Transformers. Following are the methods used in this training: Interns are supervised by our staff while working the floor in Integrative Breathwork sessions, and given feedback following each session. The other methods are taught through didactic and experiential sessions. Integrative Breathwork Certification as an Integrative Breathwork Practitioner means you have learned both the theoretical philosophy and the application of this powerful method of inner work. These sessions are done in two hours of deep breathing to evocative music that puts participants into a safe and intensely aware altered state. Shorter sessions can be modified to fit into treatment and mental health settings or in individual sessions with clients. Integrative Breathwork is a highly sensitive process because it can spontaneously release pent-up memories and emotions needing conscious recognition and clearing, and often without the intellect even knowing what happened. This is because this method bypasses the intellect and opens the psyche to humanity's more expanded dimensions of consciousness. This method magically reveals the sacred significance of your life's events, or your bigger story. And these revelations are healing in themselves. Often, old issues heal by just consciously passing through them as you observe them from a wider perspective. And all this happens just naturally, as though the music and breath themselves are doing the work.

9 The Musical Journey Music accompanying deep breathing during a breathwork session is taught to our trainees so they can become familiar with how musical vibrations, rhythm, pitch, and melody lines affect the psyche. The beginning steady drumbeats entrain the mind and induce an altered state. Setting up a breathwork musical trajectory the way we teach it carries the body and soul through one's timeline of life experiences - - taking participants both forward and backward in time. This aspect of Eupsychia's certification process is taught hands-on as students listen, compare, question, and experience the varying ways this musical trajectory is created. Focused bodywork The specific type of body work used in Integrative Breathwork accompanies the breathwork training. This type of bodywork helps breathwork participants release pent-up energies and cellular memories held in the body. It frees the body of constrictions that keep us from living as our true and whole selves. There is no judgment concerning the feeling states or body motions released during a breathwork session. Since breathwork is an internal process that honors the Self as the guide, there is rarely any verbal instruction or suggestion given by instructors working the floor. We merely help people stay inward, and trust each individuals own inner knowing. ADDITIONAL TEACHINGS Guided Imagery Guiding one's subjective explorations by suggestions pertaining to certain goals, often done with music in the background, is another popular Eupsychia method. Students are taught to use the proper voice tone, and how to make the appropriate connection through words and music with the issues needing to be awakened or resolved. Symbolic Artwork Since the unconscious mind speaks through symbol, we often ask our participants to draw or paint what they receive when doing inner work. It's as though your hand is connected to your psyche and knows what your intellect doesn't know. The art room stays open 24 hours at our 6-day Intensives and participants are invited to use this method at anytime during the day or night.

10 Psychospiritual Group Processing Students learn through experiencing this type of groupwork modeled by our staff and toward the end of their training have an opportunity to practice co-leading with supervision. There is also a didactic training during the 6 days for interns. Leaders of transpersonal group processing in this Aquarian Age are guides, not experts on another's psyche. It's a new form of leadership that brings forth the wisdom in each participant. In a participant's sharing, all dimensions of consciousness are honored as legitimate. We do not diagnose or label anyone with disease-model labels. Students are taught to recognize the difference between a spiritual emergency and a psychosis. At 6 day workshops, other ways of teaching may be incorporated into the training as well. WHAT DOES YOUR CERTIFICATION MEAN? Graduates will receive a certificate that reads: "Certified in Integrative Breathwork." Euspychia's goal of certification is authentic Selfempowerment for its practitioners. Our students are empowered to practice their own unique brand of the Euspychia Process within their particular sphere of influence and areas of interest. Training in The Eupsychia Process will aid you in shifting creatively from traditional to emergent approaches of health and well-being. You will become efficient in communicating and applying the shift away from disease-oriented philosophies toward a more proactive view of human nature that defines the Self as both human and divine, moving forward in its evolutionary process. The hallmark of Eupsychia's inner work is the ability for our practitioners to create a sacred, safe and therapeutic environment for this vulnerable process of spiritual awakening. Certified practitioners of this process will have proved their ability to guide others through the psychic openings and death/rebirth phases of personal transformation, having traveled this journey themselves. This is being-level training that advances its practitioners' level of consciousness and psychospiritual health. Though there is some didactic training, most is experiential as we believe in the power of direct experience.

11 Our program is a powerful one, so to uphold the integrity of our work, and to provide the best training possible, no one will be able to complete this training in less than 1 year from the date of becoming an official intern. All breathwork workshops attended prior to becoming an intern are a very important part of preparing for this work. We honor all that has prepared you to embark on the journey of entering the Eupsychia intern and training program. However, no workshops attended prior to you officially being invited to be an intern in our program will count towards the requirements outlined in our certification program. Once reviewed, you will be contacted to discuss becoming a formal intern and we ll help you plan your attendance at our program events.
