13 Themes Declining market share for the market leading regional comprehensives Substantial growth in graduate degree production among former LA2 institutions Appears to be overlap with increased graduate degree production among institutions that are less selective for undergraduates (no relevant information for graduate selectivity) What we have here is a boom in online & extension production of graduate degrees in education by institutions neither prepared to deliver graduate degrees or to credential professionals in the field of education. Many of these graduate degrees are initial credentials granted to individuals already holding a bachelors degree in another field. 13
