18 KURTZ ANGUS We were Angus when Angus wasn t cool... since 1970 Breeding stock for sale at all times raised with out creep feed or growth stimulants. Currently for sale cows bred to the EZFocus 801 sire and coming yearling heifers and bulls by EZ Focus. Our goal has been to have 6.5% of the dams weight at birth and 50% of the dams weight at weaning. So a 1000 Lb. hiefer can give birth to a 65 Lb. calf and a 1500 Lb. cow can have a 95 Lb. calf without any trouble. PAR EZ Focus 801 cows for sale bred to this Herd Sire Infocus Heifer. MVA Mainsteam 2916 being used. The alliance bred bull calf from this traveler 8180 bred dom. Had an actual ww of 895, month old calf. This was the first ever heifer donated to the WI juniors in 1982 and purchased by Terry & Ardel Quam. Then we donated half of the proceeds of this heifer in KURTZ ANGUS FARM 2187 State Road 87 St. Croix Falls, WI [email protected]

19 JSI WASTE LESS CATTLE FEEDERPATENT PENDING Introducing the all new JSI Waste Less Cattle Feeder developed by Bill Kurtz who also brought you the award-winning JSI Waste Less Horse Hay Feeder that recorded the least waste of nine feeders evaluated at the 2010, U of M feeder evaluations. PATENT PENDING PATENT PENDING Cattle tend to be able to put their heads through smaller openings than they can back out of. This belting allows us to have wider openings but still maintain a narrow opening to help contain the hay. As they put their head in the feeder, the belts bend in along side of their necks, and as they back out, the belts flip inward wiping excess hay off their mouths. This application should also help prevent calves from getting in the feeders. They come unpainted with the option to have them painted. Built to last with 12 gauge tubing and 14 gauge skirting is used. Replacement belts are available. Optional carrying bar is available. WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS Withdrawal Periods and Residue Warnings Animals intended for human consumption must not be slaughtered within 48 days of the last treatment. This drug product is not approved for use in female dairy cattle 20 months of age or older, including dry dairy cows. Use in these cattle may cause drug residues in milk and/or in calves born to these cows. A withdrawal period has not been established for pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal. Animal Safety Warnings and Precautions The product is likely to cause tissue damage at the site of injection, including possible granulomas and necrosis. These reactions have disappeared without treatment. Local tissue reaction may result in trim loss of edible tissue at slaughter. Observe cattle for injection site reactions. If injection site reactions are suspected, consult your veterinarian. This product is not for intravenous or intramuscular use. Protect product from light. LONGRANGE (eprinomectin) has been developed specifically for use in cattle only. This product should not be used in other animal species. When to Treat Cattle with Grubs LONGRANGE effectively controls all stages of cattle grubs. However, proper timing of treatment is important. For the most effective results, cattle should be treated as soon as possible after the end of the heel fly (warble fly) season. Environmental Hazards Not for use in cattle managed in feedlots or under intensive rotational grazing because the environmental impact has not been evaluated for these scenarios. Other Warnings: Underdosing and/or subtherapeutic concentrations of extended-release anthelmintic products may encourage the development of parasite resistance. It is recommended that parasite resistance be monitored following the use of any anthelmintic with the use of a fecal egg count reduction test program. 36 Persistent Effectiveness 100 days 100 days 120 days 120 days 120 days 120 days 100 days 150 days TARGET ANIMAL SAFETY Clinical studies have demonstrated the wide margin of safety of LONGRANGE (eprinomectin).
