Athletic Trainers and/or Therapists will enjoy global portability of their professional credential. Academic collaborations between accredited Athletic Training/Therapy programs will promote the advancement of the profession globally.

7 WFATT Mission To establish a global standard of entry level competencies for Athletic Training/Therapy To establish a global standard for program/curriculum accreditation To establish a clear, transparent and user friendly system for seeking program/curriculum accreditation To establish a global template for the establishment of mutual recognition agreements (MRA). To promote international collaborations leading to the advancement of the profession

8 WFATT Initiatives Complete the Knowledge Skills Analysis and Develop a report that outlines the commonalities between the current partners (CATA/NATA/ARTI). Identify Knowledge and skills that are unique to each partner

9 WFATT Initiatives Develop a global standard for program/curriculum accreditation Establish a program/curriculum accreditation committee of the World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy Conduct an accreditation review of current accredited programs to determine equivalencies of current accredited standards to the proposed global standard. Award global accreditation to eligible institutions
