KNOW DO BCM-230 BCM-330 I am new to Business Continuity Management (BCM) I just need basic knowledge about the subject of Business Continuity Management I am new to BCM and I have been asked to be part of the BCM Planning team within my organization. I have some knowledge about BCM, but would like to have more practical hands-on training in implementing my enterprise-wide BCM plan. MANAGE BCM-430 I have been tasked to spearhead and manage the enterprise-wide BCM programme. I would like to have in-depth knowledge of BCM. I am a seasoned BCM practitioner and would like to acquire the BCCE certification in recognition of my knowledge in BCM and experience. *Conventional 2-phase Track BCM-330 BCM-430 Express Track 2
3 ISO BCMs EXPERT IMPLEMENTER COurse DESCRiPTION The : ISO Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) Expert Implementer is an advanced level Business Continuity Management (BCM) course that is primarily designed for advanced level professionals who has a high degree of exposure to and understanding of BCM, such as Business Continuity (BC) managers, planners, and project managers. It is the institute s most comprehensive BCM course which is also suitable for those who are new to BCM or intend to embark on his/her BCM professional career. The workshop curriculum will enable participants to get a thorough understanding of the 7 BCM Body of Knowledge (BCMBOK) for BCM practitioners. It is a globally recognized methodology for the implementation and maintenance of BCM programs. BCM INSTITUTE GLOBAL BODY OF KNOWLEDGE On completion of the course, participants will be able to acquire the skills and understanding to be able to drive complex BCM programs and projects for the entire organisation. TARGET AUDIENCE Appointed team leader of BCM Planning team, team member of the BCM team, Emergency Management or Incident Management team. BC Managers, Organization BCM Coordinators and Practitioners tasked to drive large and complex corporate level BCM programmes. Experienced professionals with 3 years or more experience, from the security, risk management, facility, IT security, business operations who have direct or indirect responsibilities are encouraged to apply for their Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE) certification. 3
4 ISO BCMs EXPERT IMPLEMENTER COURSE OBJECTIVE Participants who successfully complete the course would be well equipped to implement and manage an organisational BCM programme. They would be adept at: Understanding the BCM planning methodology and the requirements of ISO BCMS standards Assembling the BCM team members Developing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies Designing, implementing and testing the BC plans Preparing and conducting awareness and training programmes with strong alignment to ISO standard for BCMS Maintaining and managing the BCM plans while operating with other plans such as Crisis Management (CM) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans This course will provide participants with the concept and knowledge, which will enable them to: Identify possible threats that may disrupt critical business functions or prioritised activities in the organisation Strengthen organisational resiliency to counter major incidents and disasters Identify and analyse business requirements to recover critical business function Develop business continuity and recovery strategies Develop and implement comprehensive BC plans Create and develop BCM awareness and training programmes Conduct exercises and tests Implement BCM audit and assessment programmes to ensure BC plan effectiveness Drive organisation-wide BCM programmes Ensure effective program management on an on-going basis 4
5 PRE-REQUISITE At least 3-years of BCM experience to achieve the BCCE certification or Novice to Business Continuity Management (BCM) who would like to acquire the entire spectrum of knowledge* (*Note: Novices with no experience would only be awarded the BCCP certification) COUrSE DURATION The course is run for 4 creating BCM plans. 1 2 days where participants would be taught the fundamentals of BCM and given hands-on experience in The qualifying BCCE examination done on the last day of a BCM-430 or a course is a half day 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) electronic based examination.the examination which lasts for 3.5 hours would need candidates to achieve a 75% passing grade. 5

10 QUALIFYING FOR CERTIFICATION The globally recognised Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE) certification is designed to instill pertinent concepts and knowledge in BCM practitioners. Certified professional would be able to drive organizational- wide BCM programs, develop BCM strategies, develop and implement comprehensive BCM plans and implement BCM awareness and training programs. They will also be able to conduct exercises and tests and implement BCM audit and assessment programs to ensure BCM plan effectiveness. This certification is most suited for BC managers, planners and project managers. PRE-REQUISITE COURSE BCCE applicants are required to complete and pass the qualifying BCCE examination attached to the BCM-430: ISO Business Continuity Management Systems Manager or to : ISO Business Continuity Management Systems Expert Implementer QUALIFYING EXAMINATION The qualifying BCCE examination done on the last day of a BCM-430 or a course is a half day 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) electronic based examination. 11 APPLICATION PROCESSING FEES Applicants who would like to apply for the BCCE certification needs to furnish BCM Institute with the BCCE certification application fees of SGD150.This can be paid via Paypal, AMEX, Cheque (drawn from a Singapore bank), Telegraphic Transfer, Bank Transfer or Cash. APPLICATION PROCESS Once BCM Institute Certification Department has ascertain that they have received the complete BCCE application form and processing fees, application would be sent to an independent review board that would assess the applicants eligiblilty for the certification applied for. The process may take about 4 8 weeks before an applicant is awarded the relevant certification. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE BCCE applicants should have at least 3 years of Business Continuity (BC) professional experience. They should be able to demonstrate this experience via an application form that would allow them to showcase at least 5 of the BCM BoK. The experience should be backed by 2 referees that should be the applicant s colleagues (not subordinate), clients or superiors. Candidates who lack the pre requisite 3 years experience may opt to apply for a specialist certification (BCCS) or planner certification (BCCP). 11
