RECOMMENDATION FROM: Chancellor Philip P. DiStefano, with the concurrence of Provost Russell Moore. STATEMENT OF INFORMATION: The CU-Boulder College of Media, Communication and Information seeks to offer a new bachelor s degree in information science. In a 55-credit-hour program students will study the relationships between social and computational systems. They will emerge with skills in information analysis, computing, design, information security, socio-behavioral theory, and data curation, archiving and management. Job opportunities include data analytics, program and product management, user design and information architecture, among others.
