Overview: Chevron's Information Technology Company is looking to fill multiple positions for experienced Enterprise, Solution, Information, and Technology Architects, and to join its internal information technology team. Successful candidates will be challenged to drive company-wide bottom line impact through the effective use of architecture to drive IT resources for maximum long term business impact. The candidate will develop and manage solution, information, business, or enterprise architecture information and processes. The successful candidate must be an experienced business leader, highly skilled, motivated, and results driven, who enjoys a challenging environment, and is able to work independently. The successful candidate must understand the work processes and information needs of solution, information, technology, or enterprise architects and demonstrate the ability to collaborate with other architects and business leaders. 2 Position Details: Main Required Qualifications for all positions: BS Degree in IT Systems or a related engineering discipline At least 5-10 years of experience working in all phases of IT systems design and delivery At least 5 years of architecture experience within a given discipline Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to engage and influence business and technical audiences, including business leaders and other architects Ability to work independently with minimal direction and to work collaboratively in a multi-discipline team Preferred Qualifications for all positions: At least 5+ years experience in the Oil and Gas industry Demonstrated ability in modeling and systems thinking Experience in applying industry best practices or standards in architecture design Experience with logical information modeling techniques appropriate for the discipline Experience with emerging tools and technologies, including conducting research and proofs of concepts Membership of professional organizations (e.g., IASA, BCS, TOGAF) Ability to travel and or move Globally Enterprise Architect: The Enterprise Architect understands the current state and designs the desired state of the collection of solutions for the organization, develops standards, and defines governance processes, ensuring alignment with business strategies and requirements. The Enterprise Architect will drive strategic IT plans and project portfolios. Facilitates, develops, and consults on architecture standards, processes, and governance models. Participates in/leads architecture studies and reviews. Develops desired state models, ensuring alignment with business

3 requirements. Leads/supports operating company architecture strategies and design efforts. Consults with projects to provide context and identify opportunities for synergy across projects. Collaborate with enterprise architects across Chevron to understand EA requirements generated by business strategies and operational requirements. Manage standards for enterprise architecture information, including the management of standards information and architecture models. Consult on the use of IBM System Architect to develop architecture models and report architecture information. Facilitate the development and evolution of the architecture and governance processes. Solution Architect: The Solution Architect is responsible for creating solution architecture and providing guidance during the design and development of individual IT systems, ensuring the design fits within the overall enterprise architecture and achieves what is best for Chevron across the enterprise. The Solution Architect applies Enterprise Architecture when designing specific projects and solutions, which should ultimately implement some part of the desired state blueprint. The successful candidate will be challenged to effectively use architecture to drive IT resources for maximum long term business impact. Create effective solution architectures to deliver business value Provide IT solution design recommendations, ensuring alignment with business strategies, target architecture models, asset life cycle plans, and operational considerations Collaborate with business partners and other IT resources to identify appropriate IT solutions for business functions Ensure solution architecture adheres to Chevron information, application, and technology standards

4 Engage and influence business and technical audiences, drawing out Understand and participate in the architecture review process Information Architect: The Information Architect maximizes the business value of information assets by defining and providing reusable, shareable, and consistent definitions for information and information management solutions with the objective to simplify the information landscape and improve information quality and reliability. Design and develop policies, principles, models, standards, and processes that will maximize the business value of information assets by enabling integration, reuse, and data quality Partner with IT asset sponsors to develop IT asset plans that align with strategies, target architectures, and information needs Analyze models, and consult on the use, flow, and storage of information in the enterprise and between systems, people, and processes Provide an environment for leveraging information, both structured and unstructured, across the enterprise in support of business strategy, decision making, and optimization Participate in/lead architecture studies and reviews Engage and influence business and technical audiences, drawing out Understand, consider, document, and clearly communicate enterprise tradeoffs on decisions Use SharePoint and IBM System Architect tool to maintain architecture models and information Technology Architect: The Technology Architect will focus on the strategy, architecture and governance required to promote and improve the current architecture, and yet is forward thinking to bridge the gap between current state and the emerging information workplace of the future.

5 Facilitate, develop, manage, and consult on architecture standards, processes, and governance models. Lead the development of and/or support architecture strategies and design efforts for hardware and software infrastructure systems, which includes understanding IT requirements generated by business strategies and operational requirements.
