12 The Business Start-Up Program Entrepreneur Project The 6-month Business Start-Up Program is an intensive program that covers content relevant to new business owners. Along with mentoring from an experienced and knowledgeable coach, participants benefit from masterminding and resource sharing with the other members of the group. Development of personal and business skills allows participants to determine the right steps to reach their business goals. The submittal of a completed business plan guides participants in creating the financial, marketing and sales systems and tools needed to open their business. Along with mentoring from an experienced and knowledgeable Marketplace Manager, members can benefit from targeted workshops and one-on-one counseling through programs at the Hannah Grimes Center. Specifically targeted programs assist small producers and growers to enter, vet their products and succeed in the wholesale marketplace.
