18 Transportation During Oct.1, 2012 to June 30, 2013, 1,673 of the program participants served by accountability courts did not have reliable transportation. (31% of the participant population) About 36% of all accountability courts assist their participants who have transportation issues in a variety of ways. The most common ways are gas cards (37%), public transportation passes (37%), or referrals to other public provided transportation (32%). Courts are able to assist with transportation issues with the help of State Accountability Courts Grant, county funds, federal grant funds, private/non-profit funds, and other funding sources. **Data retrieved from 2013 State Accountability Court Survey conducted by CJCC (n=151). 22 SID Reports Data (Oct June 2013) During SFY2013, CJCC funded 99 accountability courts across the state. Funded Courts were required to collect new offenders demographic information and report back to CJCC monthly. By June 30th, 2013, 2,943 new offenders were committed into these courts.

The majority of new offenders being served by state accountability courts originate from metro areas and eastern coastal areas. State accountability courts have served the most offenders from counties of Chatham (415), Fulton (221), Cherokee (167), Gwinnett (166), Forsyth (165), Hall (158), DeKalb (154) and Muscogee (138).
