RESEARCH INTERESTS General Food Law Tort Law Contract Law Comparative methodology Law and Society Law and Cognitive Sciences Current Research Interests Tortious and Contractual Liability in the Food Industry, with a particular focus on the liability of certification bodies and retailing chains. A Comparative Analysis of the Regulation of Geographical Indications for Food Products, with a particular focus on the nexus between such form of IP law and the socio-cultural context within which they are placed.

2 EXTERNALLY FUNDED GRANTS January 2008: ,00 euros research grant by the Unione Italiana Vini (the most important Italian Association of wine producers) to develop Legal Guidelines and a Code of Conduct for the wine industry. October 2008: ,00 euros research grant (with U. Izzo) funded by Fondazione E. Mach (a private body conducting research and teaching in the agro-food sector) to study the accreditation process for private certification bodies certifying food products.
