1 Aldosterone and mineralocorticoid receptor (ADMIRE) COST Action BM1301 Tenerife Training school February 9 th -13 th, 2015 Mineralocorticoid receptor cell biology and pharmacology
2 The Aldosterone and Mineralocorticoid Receptor (ADMIRE) COST action BM1301 has organized a training school on mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) pharmacology and cell biology aimed at Early Stage Researchers (ESR: PhD students and postdocs up to eight years after obtaining a PhD degree) from groups participating in the action. In this COST training school trainees will get hands-on experience in searching for new small-molecule MR modulators and characterizing their actions on different levels of the receptor s biology, including gene transactivation, subcellular trafficking, protein-protein and protein- DNA interactions. Faculty Dr. Diego Alvarez de la Rosa (Training School organizer). Dept. Physiology, University of La Laguna (ULL) and Center for Biomedical Research of the Canary Islands (CIBICAN), Tenerife, Spain. Dr. Nourdine Faresse. Dept. of Anatomy, University of Zurich, Switzerland. Dr. Miguel X. Fernandes. Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry (IUBO) and Center for Biomedical Research of the Canary Islands (CIBICAN), Tenerife, Spain. Dr. Rosario González Muñiz. Institute of Medicinal Chemistry, CSIC, Spain. Dr. Claudia Grossmann. University of Halle, Germany. Dr. Antonio Hernandez Daranas. Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry (IUBO) and Center for Biomedical Research of the Canary Islands (CIBICAN), Tenerife, Spain. Dr. Mercedes Martín Martínez, Institute of Medicinal Chemistry, CSIC, Spain. Dr. Araceli Morales. Dept. Physiology, University of La Laguna (ULL) and Center for Biomedical Research of the Canary Islands (CIBICAN), Tenerife, Spain. Applications for the training school Send applications for the training school by to Sheeona Gorman (sheeonagorman@rcsi.ie) and Diego Alvarez de la Rosa (diego.alvarez@ull.edu.es) including the following information: Last name, first name, , institution, name of Principal Investigator.
