1 HRDC Community Resource Guide: Area 32 South Tracy, MT Resources Contact Information Assistance Type / Notes HRDC HOUSING Housing First Section 8 Housing Resource Property Management (RPM) Home Ownership Center FOOD AND NUTRITION Works with individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness through case management, financial coaching, and housing support. Emergency rental assistance is available based on housing status (facing eviction or homeless) and income level. Offers long term rental assistance to households struggling with housing costs. Assistance is based on income, and the program works with a waitlist. Notification of address change is critical! RPM manages affordable rental units in Gallatin and Park Counties. Property lists and applications are available online and in the HRDC office. Provides homebuyer and financial literacy education, foreclosure prevention counseling, down payment assistance, and other services to households working to become first time homebuyers. Gallatin Valley Food Bank Community Café Office of Public Assistance WIC (Women, Infants, & Children) hy-people-families/wic/ ENERGY ASSISTANCE LIEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Program) Energy Share (406) Bond Street, (406) N. 7 th Avenue, (406) N. 3 rd Avenue, (406) W Mendenhall St, Provides a 5-day emergency food supply based on family size, available once every 30 days. Food box pickup is Monday-Friday 1-4pm, with an additional Tuesday night service from 5-7 pm. Also available is the Bread and Produce Room, open during all Food Bank hours and access is unlimited. Join us for dinner every day from 5-7 pm! Free dinner for everyone in a restaurant style atmosphere. Provides access to benefits such as TANF, SNAP (formerly food stamps), as well as Medicaid and Montana Bridge to Benefits (improves families by linking them with public work support programs, such as HMK.) Provides food assistance to pregnant or breastfeeding mothers, and parents with children 0-5 years old. WIC can help mothers, fathers, grandparents, etc. with dependent children. WIC offers grocery vouchers, breastfeeding support, nutrition advice, free health checkups, and more. WIC serves Gallatin, Madison, and Park counties. Helps eligible renters and homeowners during the winter months by paying a portion of their winter heating cost (October-April.) Payments are made directly to the heat source vendor, and the application requires proof of income and bank account information. A zero percent interest loan to households who are either without or soon to be without heat. Available if you have received a shut-off notice, are experiencing an inability to obtain heat or power due to a past bill or nonfunctioning furnace, or damages that affect the ability to heat the home. The Warming Center operates from November-March, and is open from 7 pm 7 am with check-in from 7-11 pm. Showers are available Monday & Thursday and Saturday from 9 am-11 am. Provides a confidential and safe house for victims of sexual and domestic violence. Also helps with crisis intervention, on-going support, education, and legal advocacy. Overnight accommodations and shelter for families with dependent children who are homeless. Crisis Stabilization Center for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis who needs a safe place to go. Provides case management and short term stay for clients. Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing for homeless veterans (includes case management, counseling, and ongoing rental assistance.) FARE FREE transit program serving with service to Belgrade and Livingston. Door-to-door transportation for senior citizens and people with disabilities. Call 24 hours in advance to schedule a ride. $1 donation is requested, but not required for use. Big Sky s public transit service that provides the link between and Big Sky. Offers year round service through the Gallatin Canyon. HEALTH CARE SERVICES Community Health Partners Bridgercare Gallatin County Health Dept. ZoeCare (406) E. Mendenhall Street, (406) N. Sliding scale payment system for services is in use, and referrals to specialists will also follow the sliding scale basis. Excellent, affordable reproductive and sexual healthcare and education in a safe environment. Fees are based on patient income and patients with and without insurance are welcome to visit. Resources include environmental health, immunizations, WIC nutrition services, emergency preparedness, and preventative cancer screenings, among others. Helps children facing adversity reach their potential through one-on-one relationships with mentors. The Job Service also provides computers, phone, fax, copying and printing services for employment searches. Promotes work and independence for adults with disabilities. Resources include job training and placement, counseling, and post-employment services. Intakes every Thursday at 10 am. Job skills, resources, and job placement for youth (ages 14-21, up to 24 years old in some cases.) Uses a variety of tools to promote job readiness, including training and computer literacy classes, to ensure successful job placement for individuals. A staffing agency for those seeking temporary or full-time employment. A staffing agency for those seeking temporary or full-time employment. A service of Public Schools, the ALC provides assistance in HI-SET preparation (formerly the GED) as well as resume skills, job search help, and basic adult education. Employment assistance for people with mental and physical disabilities. Quality low cost counseling services for the Gallatin Valley: individual and group counseling, skill development workshops, and therapy for families, children, adults, and couples. Provides services that promote independence for people with disabilities. Can assist with applications for Social Security Disability Insurance, and may also place PCAs (personal care assistants) in home to help disabled individuals. Peer groups and advocacy available. Administers complete services under the Social Security Administration. Includes supplemental income, disability, retirement and survivors benefits.
