Serves Cleveland County residents only unless life threatening. The Salvation Army (Gastonia) S. Broad Street Gastonia, NC Emergency shelter for men, women, and families. The Salvation Army (Charlotte) Spratt Street Charlotte, NC 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Immediate shelter for single women. Women with children need to call for availability. Room in the Inn (Charlotte) N. College Street Charlotte, NC Seasonal winter shelter for men, women, and families. Open from November to March. Transitional Housing What it is: Temporary longer-term housing with services to help individuals and families reach permanent housing.
