Applying the Triple Bottom Line Brownfields Inventory Completed Inventory in 5 Targeted Areas Preliminarily Identified 400 Brownfields Refined to Include Top 120 Brownfields Ranked Sites Using Triple Bottom Line Approach 1
Ranking Brownfields Inventory Purposes: A Way to Communicate Community Benefits In Case of Conflict Over Scarce Resources there are Objective Criteria to Prioritize Foundation for Longer-Term Strategy Brownfield Reuse Getting to Yes Triple Bottom Line Source: Eric Hovee Consultants 2
What is Triple Bottom Line? TBL: How to Use The TBL tool is designed to inform a deeper understanding of how policy and program choices will affect the social equity, environmental health and economic prosperity of the community. The TBL tool does not dictate a particular course of action; rather, the analysis provides policy makers and staff with a greater awareness of some of the tradeoffs, benefits and consequences associated with a proposal, leading to more mindful decision-making. 3
Lane Livability: What is it? The Lane Livability Consortium was founded in 2010 to bring together Lane County, Oregon regional leaders in economic development, higher education, transportation, affordable housing, water and energy, and social equity to build upon the Eugene- Springfield region's successes and to further integrate livability into our plans and strategies. Applying Triple Bottom Line Policy Rob Zako, Ph.D. Terry Moore, FAICP 4
Equity and Opportunity Assessment (EOA) Purpose: Identify and analyze issues of equity, access, and opportunity within the Eugene-Springfield metropolitan area and consider how these findings can inform agency plans, policies, and major investments. Equity and Opportunity Assessment (EOA) 5
