1 David Hanauer, MD Associate Professor -University of Michigan Medical School / School of Information Assistant Director for Clinical Informatics in the University of Michigan's Comprehensive Cancer Center's Informatics Core. David Hanauer, MD earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan, followed by training in pediatrics at the New York University Medical Center. He then obtained a master's degree in medical informatics at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston through the combined Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. Dr. Hanauer is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Michigan Medical School with a joint appointment in the School of Information. He is a practicing pediatrician and serves as Assistant Director for Clinical Informatics in the University of Michigan's Comprehensive Cancer Center's Informatics Core. His academic interests include clinical and health informatics initiatives primarily focused on the secondary use of clinical data and the interface between patients and the health care system.
