8 about the garvin group Kevin V. Garvin Partner Kevin V. Garvin attended Hamilton College where he participated in various extra curricular activities and was awarded his Bachelor of Arts degree in After graduation, Kevin began working for Northwestern Mutual Life and has been an active insurance producer since In 1990, Kevin founded The Garvin Group Ltd. as a specialized service organization within Northwestern Mutual Life. As they were building their group benefits practice, The Garvin Group, Ltd. concentrated on small to medium-sized corporations seeking creative benefits solutions for their employees. In 1997, they were recruited to join Guardian s Strategies for Wealth Agency where they became the in-house specialists for employee benefits. As a result of their unparalleled focus and expertise, the Garvin Group has also been recognized as a top Guardian agency for 2009, 2010 and Kevin also holds the position of Vice President for the Marty Lyons Foundation, New England Chapter. The organization has granted over 500 wishes for children in the New England area and over 5,000 nationally. Kevin has also served on the Board of Directors for the Mid Fairfield Youth Hockey for 10 years and continues to coach. During his tenure, he has led the organization to two national championships.
9 about the garvin group Bryan J. Garvin Partner Bryan J. Garvin attended Hamilton College where he spent time as an ice hockey player and a student trainer in the college s work/study program. Bryan graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. In 1987, Bryan joined the First National Bank of Chicago and worked in the lending area of their Insurance Division. In 1990, along with his brother, Kevin, Bryan co-founded The Garvin Group, Ltd. as a specialized service organization within Northwestern Mutual Life. In 1997, The Garvin Group, Ltd. switched affiliations from Northwestern Mutual Life to Guardian s Strategies for Wealth Agency, where they became the in-house specialists for employee benefits. Bryan volunteers as a wish coordinator for the Marty Lyons Foundation which grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. Bryan also assists with coaching hockey and baseball for his son s teams. Bryan resides in Bernardsville, New Jersey where he lives with his wife, Christi, his son, Will, and his daughter Kensi.
