1 WSSU and North Carolina Community College Transfer Equivalencies and Areas of Knowledge Effective Fall 2014 October 21, 2014 ver. WSSU wants transfer students to have a broad exposure to the areas of knowledge across the academy. Therefore, students should take a least one 3-hour course in each of seven Areas of Knowledge (Fine Arts, Foreign Language/Culture, History, Literature, Mathematics/Logic, Natural Sciences, Social/Behavioral Sciences) as part of their general curriculum. This table provides the NC Community College course, the WSSU ID and the WSSU Area of Knowledge. Some courses may actually address two areas of knowledge. In that case an advisor will work will you to determine how best to use the courses you have taken to meet graduation requirements. One hour labs do not fulfill the Area of Knowledge requirement.
