Alcohol cannot be sold any cusmer who appears be under 25 unless y can prove y are over 18 with relevant acceptable ID. Anyone found not asking for ID for someone generally perceived as being under age 25 could find mselves liable prosecution up 5,000. 9 Test Purchases 9 A test purchase is where you or your sre are tested see if you do always refuse sale restricted goods. 10 Legalities Regarding Sale Alcohol 10 In order for a beverage be classified as ALCOHOL it must contain 0.5% alcohol (ABV). 19 The Licensing Act 19 What do four licensing objectives actually mean? All companies must run ir business with a view upholding se four objectives. 20 Strict Penalties 20 With se strict penalties, Government is sending out a very clear message that everyone involved in breaking law will face a penalty/fines /or imprisonment. If you or sre fails an alcohol test purchase exercise, police have power eir close sre or ban sre from selling alcohol for up 48 hours. It is also very likely, that as a result any age related prosecution, your sre could permanently close. This would mean loss jobs, a quality convenience sre for your community. We will provide you with training ensure this does not happen. But only way avoid mistakes is always ask cusmer s age by asking see a recognised form ID. Remember - If you break law, you pay fine. The only way ensure you do not fail a test purchase is always look at cusmer ask ir age if in any doubt about ir age, ask for suitable ID.
