2 EMR investments in ophthalmology Risks and oportunities The EMR investment is the most critical business decision for eye care professionals around the world EMR systems are most advanced in Europe. In Germany, Austria, Switzerland and The Netherlands more than 70% of all ophthalmologists use Electronic Medical Record systems. In the US the ratio is below 8%.
