2 Who is Jackson? First opened for business in 1961 and is named after Andrew Jackson, the seventh president of the United States. Andrew Jackson was Tony Pasant s hero. Provides advisers with the products, tools and support they need to design effective retirement solutions for their clients. Key markets are US based customers looking for solid financial investment vehicles. Since 1995, Jackson has broadened its product lineup to include variable, fixed and fixed index annuities, and institutional products such as guaranteed investment contracts, funding agreements and medium-term notes. Jackson s subsidiaries and affiliates also provide asset management and retail brokerage services. Key competitors are Prudential, Lincoln, Hartford, MetLife, etc. 2

SM 2002 Jackson surpasses $50 billion in assets (GAAP) 2003 Jackson launches Curian Capital, LLC, a separately managed accounts provider 2005 Jackson acquires Life Insurance Company of Georgia, doubling its policy count to 3 million 2010 IFRS assets exceed $100 billion 2011 Jackson achieves record sales and deposits of $22.9 billion and record IFRS net income of $683 million 2012 Jackson acquires Reassure America Life Insurance Company, increasing its policy count to more than 4 million 3

5 Another Record Year Sounds Like a Broken Record Jackson has continued to have record sales, year after year. Growth is attributed to: A sound investment strategy for our stakeholders. Innovative products: Perspective II has been the top selling variable annuity since its introduction in Elite Access is the newest product which combines well-known traditional investments, alternative investments, risk management, tactical management, strategic opportunities, and Guidance Portfolios SM, all optimized through the benefit of tax deferral. Created the Center for Financial Insight as part of The Center is an educational resource designed to provide information on complex financial topics including retirement preparedness, asset management and alternative investments. Jackson has always prided itself for having one of the lowest expense ratios in the industry. Culturally Jackson is a very flat organization with hard working associates that are dedicated to the company.
6 Portfolio Overview 1.1 million sq. ft. in 36 facilities. Sq. ft. is split equally between owned and leased providing the most flexibility. Space is primarily office with two 45,000 sq. ft. data centers.
7 Corporate Support Services Overview Responsible for operational real estate within the United States. Key non-core support functions including facilities, purchasing, travel and food services are within department. All functions are centralized with support individuals in key geographic areas. Supported by key partners in the industry to supplement staff. Project planning / oversight begins within department. Other support functions are brought in when the timing is right.

17 How Does CRE Add Value? Conduct workplace strategy meetings. One key study was how to improve organizational efficiencies of information technology groups. Study showed that more than 80% of associates were under the age of 44 while more than 50% were under the age of 35.

19 Where Are We Going? Over the next two years Jackson will add approximately 400,000 square feet to its portfolio.
