But she transferred to the Bloch School after learning about Kansas City s status as a major business hub in the Midwest. Ma, a finance major, was attracted by Kansas City s large finance and banking community, as well as the Bloch School s proximity to the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Also attractive were the low cost of living and Kansas City s vibrant neighborhoods and cultural attractions. Today, Ma works for an asset management company, researching global companies from her office in the heart of America. He and his wife, Mary, have written, produced and directed two feature films and are at work on their third.
