1 Program Student Learning s (s) Accounting AA and COA 1 At the end of this program, the student will be able to successfully construct and analyze accounting information for the purposes of making business decisions. Architectural Technology AA and COA 1 After completing this program of study, students will be able to design and create graphical representations of the built environment based on industry standards. Art (Studio) AA Degree 1 Student will possess knowledge and mastery of a variety of art making skills, be able to identify major movements in art and architecture, and be able to convey ideas and concepts about artwork. Associate Teacher AA and COA 1 Design and implement curriculum based on observation and assessment of young children to support play and learning. Automotive Technology AA Degree and COA 1 Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform brake, suspension, engine, and electrical repair, service, and diagnotic procedures, as an entry-level automotive technician. Bioprocess Technology 1 When performing a technical laboratory task, the students will produce an acceptable outcome by employing the appropriate techniques effectively and safely, including the appropriate use of equipment or tools. Bookkeeping AA and COA 1 At the end of this program, the student will be able to analyze and record business transactions using double-entry accounting as well as construct and interpret required financial statements. Business Administration AA Degree 1 At the end of this program, the student will be able to interpret and analyze the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows for the purpose of making business decisions. Business of Music COA 1 Demonstrate an understanding of intellectual property laws as they specifically apply to the music industry. Business of Music COA 2 Understand the process of affiliation with the appropriate organizations for the registration and collection of copyright royalties. Business of Music COA 3 Demonstrate the ability to understand and interpret contracts and terminology specifically found in the entertainment industry. California Smog Check Technician AA and COA 1 Possess the knowledge necessary to sit for the State of California Smog Technicians Examination and the skills necessary for entry-level employment as a smog technician in a state approved smog test only or smog test and repair facility. Certified Computer Desktop Support Specialist COA 1 At the end of this program, the student will be able to successfully support application software, operating systems, local area networks, and desktops within the context of a professional customer service environment. Communication Studies AA-T 1 Students will develop the ability to present clear and effective messages. They will also be able to competently explain and present the code and the results both verbally and in writing. Dramatic Arts AA Degree 1 Students will demonstrate theatrical techniques-theories and adapt production practices. Early Intervention and Inclusion AA and COA 1 Adapt early learning activities and classroom strategies that meet the individual needs of young children. E-Commerce COA 1 At the end of this program, the student will be able to successfully perform the basic tasks associated with analysis, creation, evaluation and maintenance of an e-business and/or web presence. Electro-Mechanical Drafting AA and COA 1 After completing this program of study, students will be able to design and create graphical representations of the built environment based on industry standards. Electronics, Computers, and Emission or HVAC AA or COA 1 Synthesize knowledge of electrical systems and computer technology to diagnose, service, and repair electrical and computer communication circuits as they relate to automotive drive-train and accessory systems, with an emphasis in emissions and/or heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Energy Technician with Non-Licensed Operator Training Emphasis AA Degree 1 Students will be able to use fundamental concepts of chemistry and physics to describe radiation and nuclear decay mathematically and verbally. Energy Technician with Non-Licensed Operator Training Emphasis AA Degree 2 Students will understand how the various systems within a nuclear power plant operate. Energy Technician with Non-Licensed Operator Training Emphasis AA Degree 3 Students will understand what mechanisms can lead to failures of the various components and systems involved in nuclear power generation. Energy Technology with Radiation Protection Training Emphasis AA Degree 1 Students will be able to use fundamental concepts of chemistry and physics to describe radiation and nuclear decay mathematically and verbally. Energy Technology with Radiation Protection Training Emphasis AA Degree 2 Students will be able to assess and formulate plans to address situations required radiation protection. Energy Technology with Radiation Protection Training Emphasis AA Degree 3 Students will be able to monitor radiation levels using the proper equipment and technique for a variety of real-life situations. Landscape Architecture AA and COA 1 Students will use hand drawn and computer generated graphics to produce accurate landscape plans that reflect sustainable, functional, and aesthetic principles. Massage Practitioner (250 Hours) COA 1 Students will demonstrate beginning massage techniques when performing massage strokes. Massage Therapist (500 Hours) COA 1 Students will demonstrate advanced massage techniques when performing massage strokes, including a variety of soft tissue and myofascial release techniques. Master Teacher AA and COA 1 Design, implement and evaluate effective program practices to successfully manage an early childhood classroom. Mathematics AS-T Degree 1 Given a function of one or more variables, apply appropriate technique to differentiate and integrate the function. Medical Office Professional AA and COA 1 Students will complete all the steps in the Documentation Cycle and the Patient Billing Cycle by creating a patient medical record with all documents labeled and identified by step number. Microsoft Certified Application Specialist for Business COA 1 At the end of this program, the student will be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint at a comprehensive level to solve problems in a business environment. Music Performance AA Degree 1 Upon successful completion of the music performance degree music majors will be able to demonstrate the ability to hear, identify, and work conceptually with the elements of music through the successful study of music theory and analysis, ear training, and piano keyboard proficiency. Music Performance AA Degree 2 Upon successful completion of the music performance degree music majors will be able to perform standard repertoire and demonstrate performance skills requisite for artistic selfexpression at a level appropriate for the particular music concentration. Network and Desktop Systems Administration AA and COA 1 At the end of this program, the student will be able to successfully perform the basic tasks associated with the administration of servers, networks and desktop computers. Nursery/Horticulture Crop Production AA and COA 1 Students will integrate concepts and skills learned in core courses to manage environmental and other growth factors to produce healthy and marketable crops. Pilates Instructor COA 2 Demonstrate and teach the complete Pilates reformer work choosing correct modifications, after assessing movement contraindications.
