2 BEFORE INSTALLING PURCHASE AGENT Before installing Purchase Agent, the following steps should be taken for a successful installation. Confirm the following Sage 100 ERP 2014 required modules are installed: Inventory Management Purchase Order Confirm that the Sage 100 ERP 2014 with Product Update 3 has been installed. Run the MAS Installed Modules Listing to confirm installed modules and version levels. Verify that all purchase order data entry files have been updated and are cleared prior to installing Purchase Agent. Page 1

3 INSTALLING PURCHASE AGENT Installation Instructions The following installation steps should be followed only after Sage 100 ERP 2014 has been installed which includes the applications Purchase Order and Inventory Management. 1. After extracting the CD Image from the Purchase Agent zip file, double click on the Install Purchase Agent Enhancement menu option shown below: Figure 1: Purchase Agent Installer Window Page 2

4 2. Verify that all Windows programs have been closed and then select the Next button in the Purchase Agent InstallShield Wizard, shown in Figure 2. Figure 2: Purchase Agent InstallShield Wizard Page 3

5 3. Read the Purchase Agent Customer Sublicense Agreement and then select the Yes button in the window shown in Figure 3. Figure 3: Purchase Agent Customer Sublicense Agreement Page 4

6 4. Accept the defaulting Destination Folder where Sage 100 Standard ERP 2014 is installed, or select the Browse button to locate the path where Sage 100 Advanced ERP 2014 is installed, as shown in Figure 4. Page 5

10 INSTALLING PURCHASE AGENT HELP FILES The following installation steps should be followed to install the Purchase Agent Help Files at each workstation that will be running Purchase Agent. 1. After installation of the Purchase Agent, select the Install Purchase Agent Workstation Help file menu option as seen below: Figure 7: Purchase Agent Installer Window Page 9

15 POST INSTALLATION ~ GETTING STARTED REGISTERING PURCHASE AGENT A Registration Key is required for Purchase Agent. Please contact your Sage 100 reseller for assistance obtaining the key. If you are unsure of who your Sage 100 reseller is call Synergistic Software Solutions at (800) Once the key is obtained, the initial access of Purchase Agent will display a registration entry panel. Enter in the Registration Key that was provided to you and select Accept. ROLE MAINTENANCE Purchase Agent and Purchase Agent Inventory Inquiry have been added to Purchase Order Role Security. Please review roles and activate these tasks to the appropriate roles. INVENTORY MAINTENANCE To obtain the most accurate information in Purchase Agent, it is recommended that the following items are reviewed and updated. Procurement items set to Buy and Sub are the only items that will be selected during a Purchase Agent generation.
