2 Back in 1999, two students at the IESE Business School of the University of Navarra in Barcelona came up with the idea of establishing a global network of medical experts that would provide second opinions to insurance companies and their patients. There is clear demand for remote solutions on the market Limited number of individuals who can afford or use new technologies No budget for innovative solutions from the social budget or insurance sector Telco and pharma companies are interested in introducing innovative solutions sold to individuals (patients, care takers) Hungarian market is currently in a pilot stage Setting up new business lines to compensate shrinking core business Trying to prove savings for the health care system through new technologies Trying to improve patients adherence to therapy Trying to offer automated solutions in order better utilize human resources
