2 Background of BlueRegistry For several years TÜV SÜD is certifying mitigation projects beyond Kyoto- Protocol VERs Since 1999 we are certifying green electricity for the whole sale market acc. to TÜV SÜD Generation EE standard TRUs and for two years TÜV SÜD is issuing Guarantee of Origins acc. to EC 2001/77 GoOs As long as the market is clearly arranged and not so developed, as long as the market player are few the offered traded certificates will be accepted. However since last year we received more and more inquiries in the direction Who can guarantee that the certificates are trustworthy and not double sold? Would you carry out inspection of our balancing and give attestations? In the sector of green electricity we check already during the annual control audits the balance of produced and sold green electricity. Due to being the market leader in Europe we are having a good overview. Nevertheless this is only a spot check once a year. For VER-projects we even do not have this kind of control audit. To a certain extent there is uncertainty in the market! BlueRegistry is the reaction of TÜV SÜD Abteilung:
