1 Data Sheet Cisco TelePresence Management Suite Extension for Microsoft Exchange Product Overview Cisco TelePresence Management Suite Extension for Microsoft Exchange (Cisco TMSXE) is an extension for Cisco TelePresence Management Suite (Cisco TMS) that enables telepresence and videoconference system scheduling. Cisco TMSXE integrates smoothly with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and 2010 to provide fully featured, intuitive scheduling capabilities through Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Web Access (OWA). Employees can view availability of colleagues, invite attendees, and book telepresence rooms and resources based on individual security profiles and permissions. Cisco TMSXE allows administrators to manage telepresence meeting rooms and allocate resources proactively while providing up-to-the-minute information to employees of upcoming meetings through customizable reminders, resulting in greater employee satisfaction with increased usage and adoption of telepresence services for day-to-day collaboration. This extension not only helps organizations to reduce travel costs, but also encourages a new way of working and improved employee productivity (Figure 1). Figure 1. Visually informative: You can view availability of colleagues, telepresence conference rooms, and resources in real time and schedule conferences or meetings with customizable notifications of telepresence conferencing details. Smooth deployment: Installation, deployment, and migration are easy with the intuitive configuration wizard, independent of Microsoft Exchange Server. Synchronized scheduling: Up-to-date information about scheduled meetings is available in both Microsoft Outlook and the Cisco TMS interface (Figure 2). Cisco TMSXE notifies you by of conference details, with updates sent to meeting organizers. The Microsoft Exchange interface provides a familiar interface that allows users to schedule telepresence meetings or conference quickly with support for Microsoft Exchange 2007 and 2010 and Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, and The robust web-based Cisco TMSXE scheduler offers planner views and integrated status and detailed displays. Cisco TMSXE supports scheduling across nonhomogenous networks with mixed endpoints and mixed protocols (H.323, H.320, Session Initiation Protocol [SIP], V.35, and telephone). Intelligent call routing automatically handles all dial plan and infrastructure to facilitate a user s conferencing request. Cisco TMSXE supports popular standalone telepresence servers, multipoint control units (MCUs), and the multisite capability of Cisco TelePresence endpoints. Time zones and daylight savings rules are handled automatically. The solution offers customizable confirmation messages with automated room notifications.
