2 Mount Saint Mary College 330 Powell Avenue, Newburgh, NY msmc.edu/adult Getting Started Registration Students should register for sessions within each term as follows: Summer Term: s A and B Fall Term: s C, D and E Spring Term: s F, G and H See the dates within each session schedule for registration, add and drop, and course cancellation deadlines. Accelerated students are able take traditional daytime courses in place of, or concurrent with, accelerated courses; however, the reduced accelerated tuition rate will not apply for such courses. Students are responsible for understanding and complying with the college s graduation, major and minor, foundation and elective course requirements. They should develop an academic plan of study with input from their academic advisor. Students are responsible for registering and, should their plans change, officially withdrawing in writing (online, , fax or letter) from courses within the timelines outlined in this schedule. Students are responsible for full payment of tuition and fees for each course for which they have registered. Registration & Payment Policy 1. Tuition is due one week before the semester or session begins. a. The reduced Accelerated Tuition Rate applies students who are 24 years of age or older, who take evening/weekend courses. 2. A late payment fee of $200 will be assessed if the student s account balance is not satisfied in full by the day before the first day of the session. 3. A student may not register for a class if the student s account has a balance due greater than $ A late registration fee of $85 will be charged all returning students, should they register on or after the first day of the semester or session. 5. A student may receive an official transcript or a diploma only when all financial obligations have been met. Financial Aid A variety of financial aid programs including loans, grants, and veterans benefits are available full and part-time students. Full-time students carry at least 12 credits per semester. Financial aid is distributed on the basis of need as established by Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) guidelines. The FAFSA should be completed at least weeks in advance of the semester in which aid is requested. The Office of Continuing Education requires students file a course plan (preferably at the beginning of the summer session) for the entire academic year so that the Financial Aid Office may determine eligibility. Information regarding outside sources for loans is available. Tuition Reimbursement Policy Students who receive 100% reimbursement by their employer are not required pay tuition until the session is completed, provided they submit verification and a statement of personal responsibility. Students who receive less than 100% reimbursement, must pay the non-reimbursable portion before classes start. Tuition is due within 30 days after the completion of the session; the student is responsible for payment. Tuition & Fees* Application Fee $45 Tuition Per Credit: Accelerated $565 Traditional $745 Registration Fee per term Fall, Spring, Summer $70 Drop Fee Per Course $10 Late Payment Fee $200 *Tuition and fees may change beginning fall term 2010.

Curriculum Library and Design Center supports the Division of Education by providing students with print and multimedia resources. Curtin Memorial Library is a tri-level wing at the southern end of Aquinas Hall with holdings of over 100,000 volumes. Honor Society allows adult students participate in the adult student honor society Alpha Sigma Lambda. The Kaplan Center for Math, Science and Technology in Aquinas Hall features new nursing laboraries, modern learning spaces, and an atrium and specialty coffee shop for the college community. Kaplan Recreation Center offers basketball and volleyball courts, an Olympic-size swimming pool, a 19,000 foot gymnasium with an elevated running track, a cardio fitness room, a weight room, an aerobics/dance room, training facilities. Classes in yoga, Pilates, dance, and aerobics are offered. MBA Resource Room. This center provides graduate business students with work space and computer facilities. Security & Safety.
