Students from high schools and community colleges located within CSUSB s defined local area will be admitted based on the standard CSU admission requirements. Undergraduate applicants from outside the defined local area need to meet a higher admission criteria to be admitted to the university. A higher GPA requirement and possible prerequisites will apply for impacted majors; Have 60 transferable semester units (90 quarter units); Have completed the four basic skills, with a grade of C or better, in English composition, oral communication, critical thinking and college algebra (or equivalent math course); Have at least 30 semester units (45 quarter units) of courses in the general education requirements with a grade of C or better and are eligible to enroll at the last institution you attended. It is recommended to complete the Associate Degree for Transfer (AA-T or AS-T) program at a community college, but it is not required. Submit an application online at: csumentor.edu. 2. 5 Don t Wait to Apply! Apply as soon as you can. You do not have to wait until you have been accepted into CSUSB to apply for financial aid. The EOP program provides access to higher education for historically lowincome, first generation disadvantaged students who have the potential to succeed at the university level. Of those students, 57 percent are funded entirely through grants and never have to pay a single penny for tuition. 7 Coyote Athletics Show your Coyote Pride! The Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes have been members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) since fall Our competitive NCAA Division II men s and women s sports teams work diligently to achieve continued success in athletics year-round, with the use of modern facilities and under the leadership of our skillful coaches. In addition, Coyote teams have captured 22 CCAA championships, 22 Player of the Year honors, 19 CCAA Coach of the Year honors and more than 500 individual honors. At the NCAA level, the Coyotes have won 10 Division II regional championships and three Division III regional titles. The Coyote Cheer and Dance squads play an integral role within CSUSB athletics and the university. The teams are comprised of university students and perform at Coyote athletic events, along with a number of university led activities during the year. The Liberal Studies program offers a tenth, shared interdisciplinary major program that includes the largest subject matter preparation program for the multiple subject teaching credential. It has been recognized time and time again by top publishers including U.S. News & World Report, European CEO Magazine, and the Princeton Review as being one of the best business programs in the U.S. Further, its programs hold the highest accreditations, such as the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs.
