You will study modules at each of our three schools and in locations around the world. This is critical to giving you a broad global perspective, along with insights into local issues and points of view in the Americas, Europe, Asia and emerging markets. 7 5. LEADERSHIP DRIVING YOUR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Running throughout our program is the Leadership stream. This begins during the Immersion phase with a series of self-assessment tools - including a 360 leadership review by your peers. The stream is complemented by guest speakers sharing their personal leadership stories during the program, and culminates in Module 6 which focuses on individual self-awareness, as well as actions and values necessary to lead a globally responsibile organisation. The stream links together academic concepts of organisational behaviour, human resource management and leadership, with personal and career development planning. Successful leaders must cope with exponential change along with the challenges of motivating others to share their skills in supporting growth and innovation. Our approach to leadership development is customised to executives, using the research knowledge of our professors, professional leadership coaches, and the experience and resources of your classmates. Through the Leadership stream you will transform your understanding of leadership, by analysing it from a variety of angles including your personal leadership style, the dynamics of team leadership, and the particular challenges of leading organisations effectively. 12

8 6. CAPSTONE FREEING YOUR ENTRE/INTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT The Capstone Project sits at the heart of our program. It is designed to bring out the entre/intrapreneur in you, including the opportunity to apply your program learning to your current business environment, a start-up or a social cause. The Capstone Project allowed us to participate in an interesting project that challenged our limits and addressed all aspects of a business. It also allowed us to have fun and produce something viable outside of the academic requirements. As part of a team you will choose a project category and develop a business idea from inception to launch, leveraging the resources of our program and faculty, your classmates and alumni connections. It s the opportunity to take your vision, expertise and experience, and make something new, by identifying a niche and creating a business to fill it. Depending on your personal dynamics and life choices, your Capstone Project will bring out either the intrapreneur or entrepreneur in you. 11 9. YSWARA AN ALUMNI CASE STUDY YSWARA TRIUM Alumna - Swaady Martin-Leke, TRIUM Class of 2012 What will you achieve? Swaady Martin-Leke - TRIUM Class of 2012 is the founder of the YSWARA African luxury goods brand, and a shining example of the innovative and determined entrepreneurs who have realised their ambitions following their participation in our program. At some point during her many years with General Electric Company, where she was latterly GE Transportation s Regional Director for the $300 million Sub-Saharan subsidiary, Swaady Martin-Leke developed a dream. I wanted to do something very different, something that promotes our African resources, culture, and identity, she recalls. It was my dream to capture true African luxury, change the world s perception of Africa, and produce a luxury brand that is truly African in origin, nature, and tradition. Swaady s dream of breaking out and doing something new motivated her to apply to TRIUM. She was subsequently named one of Forbes Magazine s 20 Youngest Power Women in Africa in 2012, and was also recently featured on CNN Africa and the BBC highlighting the great opportunities for luxury goods in the African marketplace. 20

NEXT STEPS EXPLORE YOUR FIT WITH TRIUM We choose the best students from around the world to participate in our program, based on their differing experiences, backgrounds, abilities and ambitions. Each year, we aim to attract a highly diverse group of applicants, from experienced executives to leading entrepreneurs. Our admissions process is rigorous and selective, but also highly individual - focusing on the qualities each candidate may bring to the program. As this is designed specifically for leaders in the international arena, your record of professional achievement is the most critical factor in determining your admission. Key admissions criteria: Minimum 10 years professional work experience Global/international responsibilities Exceptional professional track record, with senior management experience preferred Non-native English speakers should possess an English proficiency qualification such as TOEFL or IELTS taken within the last two years Candidates with fewer than 15 years work experience will need to undertake a GMAT or GRE test (or to have taken one within the last five years). 24

Step 2 Apply online Our online application form is designed to help our Admissions Committee evaluate your suitability for the program. You can use it to provide detailed information on your professional profile, including work and industry experience and academic qualifications. You will also be required to submit four essays and a minimum of two recommendations. Step 3 Join us for an interview If your application is successful you will be invited for a selection interview with a member of our Admissions Committee. This can be conducted by phone, Skype or face-to-face. The interview will focus on your particular goals and objectives and how our program could help you achieve them.
