8 WASHING MACHINES PERFECT WHITENESS Highly efficient laundry care Perfect laundry care requires the right combination of temperature, water, time, tumbling rhythm, and detergent. Gorenje experts relied on years of experience and their expert knowledge to devise an innovative solution for efficient care of white laundry with a special UltraWhite program. A combination of four parameters listed above delivers perfect whiteness at low washing temperature. What Gorenje washing machines can do with whites, they can do even more efficiently with other laundry. UltraWHITE program Preserving the whiteness of your delicate laundry UltraWHITE programme is intended for care of white delicate laundry such as synthetics, silk, nylon, lace, which, due to the specific character of the fabric, cannot be washed at high temperatures. The laundry will receive excellent care at a temperature of no more than 30 C, owing to adjusted tumbling rhythm and more water. Regular white laundry would take on a greyish or yellowish appearance and lose its white sheen. UltraWHITE programme will make sure your white laundry actually stays white. Excellent energy efficiency 9 kg XXL load Many innovative solutions like the efficient programme algorithms, OptiDrum washing machine drum, and QuickWet efficient soaking system, combined with the intelligent SensorIQ sensor technology deliver excellent energy efficiency. The large-capacity drum can take up to 9 kg of laundry, allowing you to optimise your loads. The most commonly used programmes cotton, synthetics, mix, delicate, and woollens are found on the right hand side of the programme selector; on the left side special programmes adjusted to a particular type of laundry are offered. In addition to the innovative UltraWhite, the washing machine offers PerfectBlack, BioWash, NightWash, QuickWash, and two userdefined programmes MyFavourite, easily customizable by the user. UltraWHITE: programme for efficient care of delicate white laundry, preserving perfect whiteness at 30 C PerfectBlack: washes at 30 C using liquid gel to keep your black laundry truly black. BioWash: it is intended for everyone who prefers washing their laundry the natural way, e.g. with the BioBall laundry balls or with soapnuts. NightWash: this programme is intended for washing during the night. Its adjusted tumbling rhythm and spinning cycle make the operation silent. QuickWash: this programme will wash your favourite clothes at 30 C in just 17 minutes. MyFavorite: two programme slots are available for user-defined programmes. Choose appropriate programme, adjust other desired settings and simply save them. TimeComfort StainExpert The laundry is washed when you want it. Most washing machines offer the option to delay the start of the washing cycle by up to 24 hours in advance. High-end models offer the EndTime washing cycle function. EcoCARE: laundry care with low water and power consumption regardless of programme duration. AllergyCARE: washing particularly friendly to anyone with delicate skin; extra water for perfectly rinsed laundry. Simple control SoftSound operation Laundry care in only three steps Ergonomically designed tilted control panel provides excellent view and control over the washing process and the selected settings. Furthermore, it allows simple choice of the right program, washing mode, and other special settings. The steps are arranged in a logical sequence, from left to right. Centrally positioned programme selector on the control panel allows perfect grip; turning it to the right, you may access the most commonly used programmes. In high-end models, these are followed by an LCD display offering four different washing modes. Lastly, additional functions are offered; when these are selected, all that is left is to press the Start button. LCD display offers the possibility to set your own language, choosing from 33 preset options. User-friendly acoustic signals. 22 DRYERS SOFT AND PRESERVED Simple control Desired results in only three steps Ergonomically designed control panel allows simple control of the drying process; the steps follow from right to left. Most commonly used drying programmes are placed on the left side of the control dial. Next to the dial, there is the section with additional settings such as delayed start of the drying cycle or drying at low temperature, supported by LED indicators and an LCD display. The control panel ends with the start and pause button on the left hand side of the dryer. Such design of the control panel allows the user a simple and friendly drying experience. 24 DRYERS CONVENIENT AND SAFE Big volume and up to 9 kg load 120 l More dry laundry at a time. Gorenje dryers can take up to 9 kg loads; in terms of capacity (120 l), this makes them superior to other comparable products on the market and ensures optimal drying of larger loads. The door that opens out to a full 180 degrees and conveniently large, 35 cm wide door opening makes it easier to load and empty the drum when drying large items such as blankets, curtains, covers or cushions. Some models have also been fitted with a LED light inside the drum, which allows you better overwiew and easy process of loading and unloading. AutoDrain - direct discharge of condensate No more manual emptying of the condensate tank. If you opt for a condenser dryer instead of the evacuation version, the opening for discharging the vapours from the room is no longer required. In this type of dryer, the steam condenses in a special nearly 5-liter condensate tank which is simply emptied after each drying cycle. If the condensate tank is connected to a drain through the AutoDrain pipe, the tank no longer has to be emptied manually. Easy clean filter Easily accessible. The filter is conveniently placed in the door. Its design allows easy cleaning with a wet cloth; alternatively, it can be removed and washed under running water. 25 DRYERS No overflow Our condenser dryers are equipped with a sensor that constantly checks the level of water accumulated in the lower condensation container. If the water level becomes too high, a pump transfers water to the upper condensation container. If the upper container is full, the dryer will not function until it is emptied. No overheating Gorenje dryers are equipped with a special sensor to avoid overheating. If overheating is detected, the machine stops operating. Drying continues as soon as the electric motor cools down to a normal level. Child lock The door cannot be opened during the drying cycle. For additionall safety the control panel can be locked by simply pressing a button or combination of buttons. Gorenje has developed an innovative solution: a special shower arm design, which in addition to spinning on its axis also moves longitudinally from the front panel to the rear and back. Biscuits, brownies The oven will preheat for five - six minutes to 160ºC. Roasting in shallow pans at two levels simultaneously (2nd and 4th from the bottom). Baking time 25 min. for 2 x 300 g. AquaClean Pour half a litre of tap water into a deep baking tray and place it in the 2nd level guide from the bottom. Set the oven temperature on 70 C for half an hour. 48

A low exterior door temperature keeps you safe from burns when touching the oven door. Child lock Child lock function allows locking the oven settings. When the settings are locked, uncontrolled or undesired operation is prevented, which protects particularly the children from situations when oven would have been switched on accidentally. A highly efficient cooling system designed to keep the temperature of oven panels down during the cooking process (DC) as well as afterwards (DC+) ensures significantly cooler outer surfaces of oven panels. Oven interior, baking sheets and trays, and wire guides are coated with a special high-temperature resistant pyrolitic enamel and they can therefore be left in the oven during pyrolysis. Ovens are also fitter with highly efficient halogen lighting. During the pyrolitic cleaning process, the oven will heat up to approximately 500 C. When the temperature reaches 250 C, the door is automatically locked for user safety. Cooking with SteamPower 50 preset programmes Steam cooking is a healthy way of preparing food, as it preserves all the nutrients, vitamins and proteins. The food is never overcooked, maintaining its colour, juices and flavour. During the cooking process, the oven is fed the steam from a special water heater. Due to an innovative configuration of the steam conduit, the steam is evenly sprayed inside the entire oven. The steam current is controlled automatically according to the selected preset programme; but if you prefer, you can also feed the quantity of steam needed for an individual dish yourself. Choose any dish from the ample selection of fifty preset programmes. The modern electronics enables you to add another ten recipes tailored to your taste, which you can save and recall the next time you use the oven. ProCooking - the professional cooking function This function allows cooking in several stages, a system especially suitable for the preparation of soufflés and various types of dough: in the first stage, the food is steam cooked, then, after a certain amount of time, the programme switches to hot-air cooking. SteamCooking Steam cooking preserves all the nutrients and vitamins in the food. Regeneration - the food warming function Steam combined with hot-air warms the oven faster, while maintaining the succulence of the food and ensuring it is evenly done. This function is especially useful in warming previously prepared, precooked and frozen foods. 6 cooking functions There are 6 cooking functions available and suitable for defrosting and warming, steam cooking or hot-air roasting, as well as preparing dishes with a combination of steam and hot-air cooking. UltraCoolDoor - the coolest oven door Gorenje s steam oven is distinguished by a safe and energy efficient door known as UltraCoolDoor (UCD), with a triple heatreflective glazing. The excellent isolation of the door combined with the special reflective layers on the glass increases the capacity of the oven and considerably reduces energy consumption, while the low temperature of the outer side of the door protects cooks from contact burns. Grinding the beans just before making coffee preserves its aroma to perfection. But you can also use previously ground coffee, of course. If you choose this option, you can set the dose for each individual cup, while coffee in beans is dosed automatically by the machine. The coffee storing container is very easily accessible, as the machine can be pulled from the furniture element by means of telescopic guides. Coffee grounds are collected in a special container in the form of compact tablets. When the container is full or when the coffee bean container is empty, a warning appears on the display. The cappuccino milk container Automatic regular cleaning Extraordinarily large milk container allows simultaneous preparation of several cups of cappuccino - without having to add milk each time. But there is more! The milk container can easily be removed and stored in the refrigerator till next time you want to use it. After brewing coffee you can activate the cleaning function by simply pressing the clean button for a few seconds, thus guaranteeing antibacterial treatment both of the milk dispenser as well as of the inner suction tubes. Since the machine performs an automatic washing cycle at every switch-on and shut-off, washing away any coffee residues from the dispensing nozzles, no additional cleaning is necessary nor is there danger of the nozzles clogging. Good ventilation is vital The purpose of a cooker hood is to maintain low pressure in the kitchen so that cooking odours are confined to the highest degree possible. To equalise the pressure, fresh air needs to be drawn into the kitchen, for example, through a door to the next room that has been left ajar. Remember never to open a window close to a cooker hood in operation, as that would only disturb the flow of air. 124 BUILT-IN REFRIGERATORS AND FRIDGE FREEZERS IDEAL CLIMATE SensoTech: accurate temperature regulation Electronic control via a LED display allows accurate settings of optimum cooling and freezing temperature independently of the environment temperature. Advanced models also feature separate temperature regulation for refrigerator and freezer compartment. In addition to the core functionality, these models offer the FastFreeze freezer boost function and the SuperCool refrigerator boost function. A dedicated signal light, combined with an acoustic signal, will warn you of any increases in temperature in the appliance. This way, the food will receive optimum care while you save power. SuperCool function for cooling larger amounts of food Eco - economy program When the SuperCool fast cooling function is activated, the refrigerator will provide a boost to the cooling process, dropping the temperature to just above the freezing point. Low temperature, combined with large volume, is ideal for rapid cooling of food after major shopping trips. After six hours, the function is switched off automatically and the refrigerator compartment temperature returns to the initial setting. During periods of less frequent use (door opening) or absence from home, such as vacation, Eco program can provide optimum temperature while saving power. FastFreeze rapid food freezing MultiFlow technology Maintaining the quality of frozen food depends largely on how fast the freezing process is. When the freezing process is faster, the crystals that are formed are smaller and do not damage the cells in the food, thus allowing it to retain the vitamins, minerals and nutrients longer. For a true freezing boost, choose models with the FastFreeze function that freezes the food at extremely low temperature of -24 C. If the function is not deactivated manually, the fast freezing process is ended automatically after a certain period of time and the freezer returns to the initially set temperature. MultiFlow accelerated air circulation technology provides a constant temperature in all models with a ZeroZone drawer. Cool air is blown through the vents in the refrigerator back wall directly into the drawer.
