Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it. Genesis 4:7

38 3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

42 Active-Aggressive Wife Passive-Aggressive Wife Letting God s Grace Train You to Submit to Your Husband in a Disagreement Needs to Deny desire to win the argument. Deny bitterness and lack of love. How past grace trains: (justifying grace) Jesus died to save you from your biggest problem. He s powerful enough to solve this smaller problem His way. Trust Him and submit to your husband. Jesus died for you even though you have sinned against Him far more often than your husband has wronged you. Show him the same grace and love as you submit to Him. How future grace trains: (glorifying grace) How present grace trains: (sanctifying grace) Your husband doesn t have to make perfect decisions now. You will be lavished with the immeasurable riches of God s grace for all of eternity in the ages to come. You ll be in Heaven- in a perfect place with Your perfect bridegroom, Christ, forever. Ask God for His grace right now. He wants to give wives the desire and power to obey by submitting to their husbands. Humble yourself and receive the grace to submit. If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Rom. 8:32 God promises you a future of security based on His gift of His Son. Trust Him and be gracious to your husband. Humility makes us targets of God s empowering grace. Humble yourself and admit that you need God s grace to be gracious and loving to your husband as you submit
