PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT The 10 Actions creates highly proficient, committed, motivated and engaged leaders, and followers The number one concern facing organisations in 2008 and beyond is losing good people and the number one challenge is motivating those that stay. If you are losing good people look to their immediate boss, if you want to motivate those that stay invest in their boss. People leave managers not companies and most managers drive people away. Talented people leave, dead wood do not. Do your staff have their heart and soul in the job? Research would suggest that only about 20% of employees are engaged whilst 38% are actively disengaged costing organisations thousands or even millions in low productivity, turnover costs and not fulfilling their true potential for growth. 69% of the variability in employee satisfaction is attributable to the actions of their immediate boss and over 39% of the variability in organisational performance is attributable to worker satisfaction. "It is about doing things differently" The 10 Actions will enable your managers and leaders to change their approach to become motivational, respected and fully committed to achieving organisational, personal and their teams goals. It will also create loyalty, commitment and full engagement of your staff. High motivation and effective communication will transform your organisation and the 10 Actions will craft and sustain this. When leaders and managers communicate the right messages in the right way employees change their views, and loyalty and engagement will improve remarkably. Most organisations promote people into leadership and management positions because they are technically very good, but these people often have little experience or training

in dealing with people, in fact less than 20% have had any training in leadership or management skills. Of those that have, that training or experience is seldom working with the complexities of 21st Century employees. Giving your leaders and managers the skills to engage, motivate and create loyal staff, and your staff the motivation and skills to be engaged, committed and loyal will be an investment that a survey has proven to increase operating margins of more than 3.5%. An investment in the unique and tried and tested 10 Actions can show a return in excess of 500%. Your leaders will lead, your managers will manage and your followers will follow. The 10 Actions has and is helping organisations large and small create highly effective leaders and managers who in turn create highly engaged, loyal, motivated and productive workers, and with your organisation s commitment we can guarantee success. Over 80% of success is down to motivation and commitment and this is exactly what the 10 Actions will enable you to construct a highly motivated, committed and loyal culture and platform for sustainable achievement into the future. Whether you want growth, increased market share, rising profits, diversification, economic expansion, high staff wellbeing, excellent customer satisfaction or to make a difference in a worthwhile way, there is one common ingredient; successful people. 10 Actions = successful people. Successful people require investment, as does your organisation. Will you invest for success? Call us now on to discuss your individual circumstances. "Share your vision and build a team that is committed and motivated to succeed" About two years ago we were in trouble at our factory over some of the training needed to bring our supervisors up to speed with team briefings. To our horror we suddenly realised that our team leaders were simply not being effective in dealing with some of their team s problems. I called in Bernard Genge who spent two years with us dealing with this issue. Since he started we have made real headway in raising team leaders self confidence levels and team working at our factory. Bernard was immediately accepted by the groups he coached and he has become the competent person in delivering soft skills to the people at the sharp end of things. Bernard has my full trust and total support in driving through change in the engine room of the factory. Mike Tucker Factory Manager, Daido Industrial Bearings International

Our core development service 'The 10 Actions to transform your Organisation' has evolved from the personal development book 10 Actions to Transform Your Life and will give you and your staff the commitment, motivation and skill to literally 'transform' your organisation. The individual 'Actions' and their benefits are: Action 1: Lay Your Foundation Action 1 is your building block for future success. This is achieved by developing high motivation and commitment to achieving individual and organisational goals. Delegates will learn how to develop a positive, can do focus and a winning attitude, as well as empowering individual self-belief and belief in the organisation. Through the identification of individual and organisational strengths and weaknesses you ll explore creative opportunities for future achievement. Action 2: Make Powerful Decisions Action 2 is about taking a decisive, proactive and committed approach to the future and embracing change. This action will show you how to make high impact result driven decisions that count, so individuals inspire each other to succeed and take responsibility for their own and the organisation s success. Action 3: Determine Your Future Action 3 is about the creation of organisational and individual direction so all future goals become linked to the organisation vision. This action will show you how to tap into individual creative potential so you start doing the right things rather than just doing

things right. Delegates will learn that by being a leader in their own right they will know their vision, mission and goals for every year, month, week, task and project or activity. They will also learn about different styles of leading and managing and when to use each style to get the very best from their team. Action 4: Take Control Action 4 is about taking action to achieve your goals, with clear priorities, and in a planned manner to achieve real individual and organisational success. By expanding comfort zones the boundaries of achievement, success and fulfillment are stretched. Delegates will learn how to develop real willpower to achieve and sustain high performance. Delegates will learn to focus on the truly important, so achieving real and meaningful goals becomes a reality. Through effective motivational delegation staff at all levels become committed to join the party of success. Action 5: Build Character Action 5 is about building the character strength to rise to, and overcome all the challenges associated with a striving organisation. Delegates will understand what makes them tick and how to develop the culture of the organisation by developing strong, solid and trust-built relationships at all levels. They will also learn how to develop individual and organisational moral fabric for sustainable personal and organisational growth. They will also develop the character strength to handle adversity, deal with difficult situations (and people) and put into practice everything they have learned in Actions 1 5. This Action is also the foundation and building block fro Actions 6 10, so an essential link in this unique 10 Actions programme.

Action 6: Interact with Skill Action 6 is about developing a clear, assertive and cooperative style with colleagues, staff, superiors, customers and suppliers. Then a genuine win/win becomes the norm. With solution thinking, problems will become opportunities and conflict a means of finding new alternative solutions Action 7: Communicate With Ease Action 7 is about developing clear and concise individual and organisational communication where everyone listens and understands. Lack of clarity and breakdown in communication will become something of the past. Delegates will learn how to influence without trying to persuade. Through Performance Coaching everyone improves their performance and enjoys their success. If the evolution of a coaching culture within your organisation is desirable this is the foundation for the creation of that culture. Action 8: Bring About Creative Solutions Action 8 is about tapping into the creativity of shared solutions, by unlocking the powerful potential of genuine team spirit. Delegates will learn how to use the different strengths of individuals to achieve the collective goals of the team and organisation. They will also learn about leading, developing and sustaining high performing and success orientated teams. Delegates will also learn how to resolve conflict and use a process to exploit opportunities and overcome problems.

Action 9: Value Your Most Important Asset Action 9 is about developing a spiral of continual improvement in a sustained way without stress. Delegates will learn how to start an upward ascent in 4 key areas to sustain, maintain and attain peak performance. Action 10: Performance Improvement and Management Action 10 is about understanding the factors that affect performance to motivate structured performance improvement both formally and informally. Delegates will develop a process for continual performance improvement and individual competence and commitment to achieve stretching goals. They will also learn how to give performance feedback that generates a genuine desire to improve outcomes and agree performance improvement plans. and/or Action 10 Make A Difference The alternative Action 10 is about how individuals and the organisation can make a difference beyond the production of your product, or the provision of your service, and go from success to significance. Finding what it is that will inspire the achievement of a purpose and the leaving of a positive legacy for future generations to cherish! I have been using the 10 Actions for the last 2 years and they have had massive impact on many aspect of my personal and business life. Jonathan Rice Managing Director, Samson Office Supplies

When I was seeking a trainer to bring on my management team Bernard was personally recommended to me by an associate and I m glad I listened because, through a few short sessions of his 10 Actions programme, Bernard has transformed the way my management team think and act. The 10 Actions programme breaks management development down into logical sessions that flow together and compliment each other in such a way that you have complete confidence that every facet of management development is being polished. Bernard s delivery of his 10 Actions programme is astonishing; he has the uncanny knack of taking a complex concept and explaining it such that everything becomes clear, typically using day-to-day scenarios that everyone can relate to. It is with great pleasure that I can wholeheartedly recommend Bernard and his 10 Actions programme to anyone seeking to improve management knowledge and performance. Paul Lewis, Technical Director.
