5 13. Rules: The IJF Referee Rules current as of will govern the contests for all divisions unless stated otherwise below. ( Elimination: Round Robin, modified double or single, or Repechage at 8 will be used. Judo Gis: Seniors Elite, and IJF Juniors: WHITE and BLUE Judo Gis are strictly enforced. All other divisions: WHITE and BLUE Judo Gis are highly recommended. No two BLUE Judo Gis are allowed in any division. All Judo Gis worn to a contest must be in accordance with IJF measurement rules. Senior Elite and IJF Junior division athletes will receive HANSOKUMAKE if entered contest area with an illegal Gi. Juv.B or younger, Senior Novice, and Veteran divisions athletes will be given one opportunity to change the illegal Judo Gi to a legal one. Any consecutive entry with an illegal Judo Gi will constitute a HANSOKUMAKI for the match. Allowance to fight up : Only the athletes in the USA Judo rostered Jv.B., IJF Jr., and Senior Novice can register to fight in the Senior Elite divisions. Non-contested entries in an age division can fight in the corresponding weight categories in the next up age division. If fighting up, must adhere to the rules of that division. Medical rule: Current IJF medical rule applies with an exception for Jv.A. and younger divisions. Weigh-In Allowance: Senior Elite divisions will be allowed up to one (1) kilo of excess weight. The tournament directors reserve the right to make any changes necessary to insure safety and fairness forall competitors. 14. Awards: 1st Place Gold Medal, 2 nd Place Silver Medal, 3 rd Place Bronze Medal in all divisions. Best Technique Award and Best Sportsmanship Award in Jv.A. and younger divisions. 15.
