Türkiye statistik Kurumu nun verdi i say lara göre 2011 y l nda ülkemize 36 milyon 151 bin 328 kifli ziyaret etmifl ve 23 milyon dolar gelir sa lanm flt r. Bu say n n gelecek y llarda daha da artmas beklenmektedir. Tahminlerimizi say sal de- erlerle anlatacak olursak; Birleflmifl Milletler Dünya Turizm Organizasyonu 2011 raporunda, 2011 y l nda 982 milyon kiflinin kendi ülkelerinden farkl ülkelere seyahat etti ini belirtmekte ve bu rakam n 2012 de bir milyar aflaca n, 2020 de 1.4 milyara, 2030 da ise 1.8 milyara ulaflaca n ön görmektedir. Bu öngörü daha fazla turizm geliri, daha fazla istihdam ve sosyoekonomik geliflmeye daha fazla katk anlam na gelmektedir. Turizm sektörünün kendisinden beklenen bu ekonomik ve sosyal at l m yapabilmesi, sürdürülebilir bir gelir kayna haline gelebilmesi için farkl türlerde turizm tesislerine, farkl gereksinimlere yan t verebilecek turizm anlay fl na-yeflil turizm, inanç turizmi gibi-ve en önemlisi farkl gereksinimlere yan t verebilecek iyi yetiflmifl ifl gücüne ihtiyaç vard r. 9 4 Turizm çin ngilizce-i The Lighthouse Inn Welcome to the Lighthouse Inn. We are a quaint, comfortable family-owned guesthouse in the peaceful fishing village of Selimiye. Our location is 41 kilometers south-west of Marmaris. Because of the beautiful, winding roads, it takes a little over an hour to reach us from downtown Marmaris. The three-story Lighthouse Inn has eight rooms. All rooms have a sunrise view of the bay, and each room has a balcony where guests can watch the local fishermen bring in their fresh catch for the local restaurants. Guests may choose a room with two double beds, or one queen-size bed. All rooms are en suite, with hot and cold running water, air conditioning in the summer, and heating in the winter. All of our rooms are nonsmoking and have wi-fi access. On the ground floor, our reception area is staffed from 7:00 to 22:00 by one of our friendly family members. Check-in is after 15:00 and check-out is before noon. Also on the ground floor, we have a small seafood restaurant, where mom and dad prepare all of the meals. Guests of the Inn always have a reserved table, and breakfast is included in the price of your stay. Our rooftop café, with a spectacular view of the bay, is a wonderful place to enjoy a morning tea or coffee, or a glass of wine in the evening. We also offer a twice-aday shuttle into Marmaris - once in the morning and once in the late afternoon. Our hotel is also handicapped friendly. There is also ample free parking around the Inn. Cem : We start serving at six, and the kitchen is usually open until ten, or when the last guest orders. Guest : Do I need to make a reservation? Cem : Our guests get priority seating. But, because our restaurant is small, we do ask that you let us know in advance when you might be coming. Guest : What do you mean by priority seating? Cem : We don t take reservations, except from our guests. So, they always have a chance to guarantee a table. Guest : We arrived after dinner last night, so we haven t seen the dinner menu.
