1 Becoming an Interfaith Volunteer Why should I become a volunteer? Interfaith is a faith-based organization that brings people together to build a more loving and caring community through service. By becoming a volunteer with Interfaith of The Woodlands, you are joining a team of people committed to responding to the needs of the community. Who can volunteer? Applicants must be at least 16 years old Applicants must not have a criminal history Applicants must work well with others and in the spirit with which Interfaith assists the community How do I become a volunteer? All potential volunteers are asked to attend one of our regularly scheduled volunteer orientations. Upcoming orientation dates can be found on our website: Once you have attended an orientation and completed the necessary paperwork, your application will be processed and your information will be screened and added to our volunteer database, which can take 3-4 business days. You will be contacted by Holly Mayer, Volunteer Coordinator, once the process is complete and you are eligible to begin volunteering.
